Wanted to try a different KFC than the usual place that seems to over cook the chicken and I always seem to have a problem or two ie.. parking, no large gravy or salad cups so they have to use pop corn chiken cups with no lids? Or something else... This was a large Pizza that down sized to a takeout one and KFC was built beside it. My first impressions entering this KFC was that it was very clean and design of it was very modern. Now to the food. Some good and some bad things to say. This so far was the juiciest chicken that I had from KFC! It was not over cooked or too salty just perfect.. Maybe because it's a new location with new frying equipment that makes it sooo good... I know about size of some of the chicken pieces are really small, I don't really they will fix this problem but at least if you order online and complain on the followup survey that you are unhappy they usually send you a code for a complimentary order of popcorn chicken.. shhhh it's our little secret ;) So on to the bad notes, nothing to do with this KFC location.. they gravy recipe has changed (sad crying face), I was realnbig fan of this gravy even since I was in high school having KFC for lunch and remembering that the gravy was sooo thick you can stick a French fry in it and it would not move.. does anyone else had those type of memories of KFC gravy? Anyways I'm really going off topic LOL. I also found out that the Carolina honey mustard dipping sauce for the tenders have been discontinued.. what's going on KFC? Stop changing goods things we love! Until...

The restaurant was shockingly clean and modern. In terms of food and speed of service, they took a while with the chicken but it was a fresh batch which honestly makes a world of difference. I'd much rather wait an extra 15 minutes for my order and have something fresh than get chicken that's been sitting out for half an hour.
The female cashier was friendly and I appreciated her letting me know the chicken would take a bit of extra time.
The chicken tasted good, salty and crunchy without being dry which is exactly what I expect. Overall, all the regular grievances with KFC still apply. Small chicken portions, lackluster (and sometimes terrible) french fries, and overpriced buckets. However, I think that's not really this location's fault and is a problem corporate needs to figure out for their franchise owners. I've been to several KFC's in Ontario over the past 2 years and can say that so far outside of mall food court spots, this is the only standalone location I'm willing...
Read moreI recently visited the KFC located at 3555 Don Mills Rd and had a very disappointing experience. The cashier handling my order was not wearing gloves and had been touching various surfaces, including his phone, before preparing the food. When I addressed this issue, he attempted to hide and deny his actions. His explanation that he was using a plastic tweezer instead of gloves was quite concerning, as it doesn’t adhere to basic food safety standards. Hygiene should always be a top priority, especially in the food industry. I hope this location takes this feedback seriously and ensures that their staff follows proper hygiene practices to maintain customer...
