Great breakfast place just opened on Toronto street! Gabriella at host stand was most professional, friendly & personable. Excellent Host! 💯

Our server Joyce was equally as good providing exceptional service & checked up on us several times. She was very polite & sincere. & SA Shanice (hope I spelt that correctly!) was amazing too! She never stopped working- cleaning & bussing all tables efficiently & effectively. I counted at least 12 employees & they were all keeping very busy!

I had the Classic Canadian breakfast & my wife had the avocado toast (her fave wherever we go!) & she just loved the added jam which burst with added taste & flavour! I loved it too lol. She also had the Green smoothie which was also delicious! I’m definitely going to try the strawberry, pineapple & banana one next time we visit

The ambience is very functional & aesthetic. Great open feel to restaurant. It was a beehive of activity when we arrived @10am. This is definitely going to be a hot spot for breakfast delights in coming years!

My only bone of contention was that I asked for mayo with my brekkie potatoes as I don’t like ketchup or ever have. I was charged $1 for a small portion which I think is very unreasonable & somewhat petty for the prices we are paying.

And, most importantly, I was not duly informed about $1 surcharge beforehand. It’s like I’m being penalized for preferring mayo over ketchup as my personal preference. The fact OEB charges $1 is more principle than anything.

Ill easily spend $100+ on one meal for me alone. I’m a foodie. Check my 2000+ reviews. I easily & happily pay for good food & don’t bat an eye. But why not offer option for the customer-mayo or ketchup? Easy solution. I just believe it was a frivolous surcharge & put sour taste in my mouth.

Regardless, though I considered lowering my overall rating I will keep it 5 star ⭐️ as everything else was great including the staff. But I will def be asking for mayo next time & not ketchup with my meal & not expecting to get...

I was so excited to try this new restaurant due to the positive reviews I saw. I went with my daughter for lunch today on Friday, April 26 at 11:38am. We ordered the Belgian waffle, Double Trouble crostini and the Classic breakfast with 2 drinks. When the server brought our foods to the table, my daughter realized that she ordered the wrong bacon as she wanted the strip bacon instead of the Canadian bacon. She right away asked the server if she could make the change. The server was very nice in saying that my daughter could keep the Canadian bacon and that he would bring her the strip bacon as well. The strip bacon finally came after we followed-up with another waitress. I was in a hurry to go back to work, so I paid quickly without checking the bill. When I checked the bill after going back to the office, then I realized that I got charged for the $5.00 for 3 strips of bacon. I felt so disappointed and scammed by this visit as the server misled me to believe that he would offer the strip bacon at no charge. Otherwise, he could have taken the plate back to make the switch or even to advise me that there would be an additional cost for the strip bacon, then it would be my decision to make. I even paid 18% tip which came to $14.19 as my appreciation for his good service in providing the bacon at no cost. This visit really left a bad impression on me that I would not want to go back to the restaurant again. I wanted to leave this review for other customers to be aware if in case they are in the same situation, please check the bill before you pay and ask for clarification.

This is an update. They asked me to reach out to them in May and I sent them an email on May 27th and no response has been received. I gather that they do not really care for their customers' reviews or experiences at their restaurant. That is fine as I have no plan of returning as there so many breakfast places with way better foods and cheaper prices than...
