I travelled to Toronto for a conference in October 2021. My companion, purchased the Sheraton promotion that included breakfast at Shopsy's. I went to breakfast with her and was advised I couldn't order an individual meal, which was contrary to the advertised signage at the top of the stairs. I ate at the buffet, but due to not eating meat or gluten, I only ate a scoop of eggs and potatoes, both were cold. There was a 'salad bar', but due to the fact that a maskless patron, (against the PHO), had just walked over to the uncovered open fruit and cheeses, I chose not to eat anything from that buffet. Read moreI've been coming here for a long time. Not often, but on and off. I think an update might be in order. Ontario liquor serving hours have changed, but Shopsy's hasn't. Would have been nice to have a Caesar with breakfast, or a shot in my coffee. Considering the hotel traffic I suggest embracing more liberal hours of service. Additionally, even though I dined in, I was served plastic with my coffee. Stir straw and creamer. I think some modernization there would go a long way too. Read moreI did not get the opportunity to eat here the day of the Raptors Parade (too busy) but I want to say that they are the most amazing people. They were the only restaurant that allowed the people into to their establishment to use the facilities when the city did not plan for 2 million people to be in the streets of Toronto.
