I used to come here twice a week to grab a coffe, a treat, and write on my laptop while I awaited my partner to enjoy their dance class across the street. We had to stop for several months, and now that we have returned to this routine I have returned to an entirely different experience. I do not know whether it was a change of management, or ownership, but every part of the experience at this establishment has tanked massively. All the staff have been replaced, and gone are the friendly smiles and banter of a downtown coffee shop. At best, they are ambivalent and cold, at worst they can be downright rude now, turning their back on you mid sentence. Thats not even getting to the food and drink quality, that has also been garbage, but somehow they decided to lower the quality of the product and raise the prices. $11 for a batch brew drip coffee and a stale chocolate croissant. There is several other cafe's in the area, including a nice new local one down the street. I'd highly reccomend any of them, even the J.J. bean (Shudder) over this place. I know after trying it out here for 3/4 times again, this...
Read moreWanted to get a simple matcha, but the customer service was super poor... The employee was very rude, rolling her eyes not knowing questions to answers and questioned us. More specifically I wanted a little more milk in my matcha, she replied with saying I was wrong for that this is the recipe and how she was told to make it. Tried to ask to poor more milk into the drink that was already full, so I said I'm not sure if that will work, I asked if I could just have a bigger cup so it will fit without spilling. She then responded with giving me a shot glass of almond milk and telling me to poor it myself into the same overfilled cup, and refused to give me a new cup without charging for it. So we left, but still frustrated went back to explain that is not okay to question customers, in customer service you cater to them even if they are wrong, she then continued to validate her self and showing how she makes it and the recipe. Overall, not a great experience and will not be going back to this...

Maybe you should make those washrooms not look worse than what I just flushed down the toilet, then. I got in on my own because somebody was just coming out and once I saw that it looks like none of the money flowing in to the cafe is making it to the washrooms, I didn't bother getting anything on my way out. And to be perfectly clear, it's not ALL the counter staff's fault. Yeah, there's garbage on the floor and a roll of toilet paper not in the holder, but there's also a whole big wet wad of toilet paper? behind the faucet because whoever owns the dump can't be bothered to fix it, graffiti all over the walls (I don't think it's art and it's certainly not GOOD art, I saw somebody's phone number) and something dark on part of the Dyson hand dryer. I'd have hated to need to use this washroom if I had the kids I look after with me. And if this is what passes for "health and safety", I think I'll be avoiding this cafe for awhile. I'd rather not get...
