I've been looking for a place that serves Eggs Benedict with potato rosti so we decided to try Capo & The Fritz since it looks like we won't have a problem getting a table there. However, once I saw the all-day starters menu, I decided to try the Prosciutto di parma & Burrata which comes with crisp pizza cough pillow at $35(!). The Gnocco Fritto were delicious. However, the prosciutto was cut too thick and was therefore tough. The pickled onions sprinkled on the plate was a nice touch and provided a refreshing palette lift. I was not that impressed with the burrata as it looked store-bought rather than house made. My partner was thrilled to see Full Breakfast on the menu and so, ordered that instead of Eggs Benedict. The thick-cut bacon with skin is something I would have enjoyed. The potato rosti though was weird and tasted like mashed potato cooled and cut into blocks and deep fried. It did not have the characteristic of shredded potatoes cooked slowly in a pan until they are dried and crispy. I'm told the toast tasted like Safeway bread. Halfway through the meal, because they weren't busy, our waitress was sent home. That practice made no sense sine the we're talking minimum wage for another hour. Sending a server home early, in my mind, really disrupts the customer experience. Service was already minimal at this place – not that we minded – because it was better not to be disturbed. We weren't even asked "is the food tasting good so far, etc..." I can now understand why they place is never packed, which is a shame.

UPDATE: Starting the evening with a Negroni called “Fire in the Alps,” and wow—what a treat. Made with Campari, Cinzano, Cynar, and Montelobos, it’s an exceptional twist on a classic, perfectly balanced and deeply flavorful. Simply excellent. While the main dishes all sound fantastic—and the pizza at the table next to me looks phenomenal—I decided to revisit a combination I’ve loved here before. The radicchio salad and the prosciutto & burrata were as incredible as I remembered. Fresh, vibrant, and perfectly executed, they made for an outstanding “main” course. This is the kind of place where you can taste the care and craft in every bite. All five-star meals, every time. Highly recommend! ———— I’m staying at the Opus Hotel and thought I’d give this place a try. What a pleasant surprise. I’m a big fan of radicchio and this must have been the best radicchio salad I’ve had. Generous portion as well. The prosciutto and mozzarella was an excellent companion to the salad. Negroni was tasty and the house hazy IPA just as good. Nice atmosphere and waitress was friendly. I just don’t understand why a nice restaurant would have a tv with a game steaming. So distracting and not a good fit for this restaurant.

Great Italian restaurant, especially when competition is so high! Our server, Erica gave us some great recommendations and i am really glad we listened to her! We ordered the tagliatelle, lasagna and the gnocco fritto. They were all spectacular. the lasagne was on the softer side but i really enjoy the slightly more mellow flavour. the deep fried gnocci was super interesting! great crunch, but pillowy on the inside— had a slight pastry-like taste to it. the dip they provide had a nice acidity and a twinge of spice but not too much. tagliatelle was definitely the star of the show for me. the pasta was cooked to absolute perfection, and the sauce was delicious! our server, Erica was an absolute gem to us, she was straightforward and honest about her recommendations as well as attentive! she deserves a gold star for sure— we were able to enjoy the meal as much as we did thanks to her!

Visited the restaurant for the first time and don't think we're coming back.

  1. We had to ask for cutlery. There were no forks nor knives placed on the table after it's been cleaned and we were sat there. When the meal was served, the waitress didn't even pay attention to the fact there were only glasses on the table. She left and we waited for a few minutes, then went to ask for assistance (the looks we were given in return were indescribable).
  2. Food was... okay. Very salty fried potatoes, leaking 'over medium' eggs. Wonder why we've been asked how to cook eggs for us at all. When asked how was our food and advised about the issues, all we got was: oh, okay. And we were only checked once - when our plates were almost empty.
  3. Washroom. In the basement. So if you have mobility issues - forget about getting there, the stairwell is pretty long. Not sure if there's any other way to get there, despite of the cane, was never asked if I needed assistance.
  4. Cherry on top - bill. Were given receipt, and eventually, when we asked what to write and where, we were asked what's our suit number (apparently, there's a hotel in the same building). We said that we were not from the hotel. The waitress apologized, and then the new bill was delivered. Which was about 10% LESS than original bill. What was that?! Do they charge hotel guests more? In any way - CHECK YOUR...

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service provided during my recent visit to your restaurant. As a regular patron, I have frequented Capo for several special occasions and dinner events throughout the year. However, my recent experience fell short of my expectations. I had booked a table for six people, yet during the evening, my partner was approached by the server, who immediately stated that he appeared to be drunk and that the manager would not be serving him alcohol. While my partner had only consumed one drink before the dinner, he understandably looked tired, having worked from 6am to 4 pm in the kitchen. Despite this, he complied with the server's request and only had water for the rest of the evening.

Furthermore, after our meal, the server returned to our table to take our drink orders. She then proceeded to single out my partner, stating that he was now able to be served a drink, as he had already consumed food and water. This comment was unnecessary, and it left me feeling uncomfortable and disappointed with the level of professionalism demonstrated by your staff.

As a loyal customer, I was greatly disappointed with this experience, particularly given our history of attending Capo for special occasions. I hope that you can address this issue and ensure that all customers are treated with the respect and dignity...
