Today, I had an unpleasant experience with this restaurant while fulfilling a DoorDash order. Upon arriving to pick up the order, I realized my delivery bag was in my car. I politely informed the staff that my friend would bring the bag in just a minute. Despite this, the staff immediately decided to have the order reassigned and contacted DoorDash to cancel the assignment.
I found this behavior highly unprofessional and lacking basic empathy. This incident not only wasted 30 minutes of my time without any earning of my work and I got totally big 0$ and also disrupted my workflow. After this, I was unable to receive another order for over 1.5 hours, significantly affecting my productivity and earnings. As a delivery driver, I strive to provide a seamless service, but the lack of empathy and professionalism from the staff left me feeling undervalued and disrespected.
Delivery drivers invest time and effort to ensure orders are completed efficiently. Such dismissive treatment undermines that effort and creates unnecessary stress. I hope this restaurant’s management reconsiders how they treat drivers and approaches similar situations with better communication and understanding...
Read moreThis was our third time there and the reason we went back those other two times was because we were impressed by the food the first time. Unfortunately, that was the only time that we were impressed though. The second time after 20 minutes we went back only to find out that the pizza maker and the cashier gossiping, and our pizza was not even made yet. When finally, she made the pizza and got it out of the oven, she flipped it upside down in the box resulting in a mush instead of pizza. When I mentioned the name of the owner, she said go ahead and tell me whatever you want to tell him, and I will personally deliver the message. If the owner is wondering who it was, well, it was “D” from “T”. The attitude was unappreciated, but we went ahead and went back for the third time. This time she was on the phone and resolving a matter and on the computer. I asked the cashier if “D” is going to make the pizza, and she responded, “she is the chef.” I said I hope she washes her hand and lo and behold, she did not! Read moreThis is the best pizza i've never had! No Smithe St. location on Uber Eats or Skip so I phoned and inquired how to get delivery, and they said to use Uber Eats or Skip. Right, not happening, completely clueless, so then proceeds to say I can order on the phone. Great! Only thing is the incompetence is so bad they couldn't even tell me the price of a pizza. Fine, so even though it's like smashing your head against the wall at this point, I politely ask the difference in price between a medium and large. Not possible. Add to that apparently the delivery driver is too old (her words) to be able to meet me at the back of my building so I can even receive the delivery. Worst ordering/customer experience I have ever experienced. Hung up, never again will I waste my 5 mins just trying to order a medium 3 topping pizza. Might want to try harder next time. 0 stars, pathetic business if you want delivery from Smithe St. Still can't even believe what I have just gone through on the phone. Thanks...
