Came on a Saturday for lunch. The restaurant wasn't crowded at all and not many visitors at 11:30am. We ordered the eel rice (small size), stir fried beef rice noodle and clams. First off everything was really well priced. This size of noodles for $12.95 is a steal at this day and age. It was on the oily side but there was definitely a bit of wokhei (fire flavour) to it. It didn't have much beef but I liked the crunch from the bean sprouts. The eel claypot rice (small size) was cooked really well. The bottom crispy bit was really well done. Crunchy and not chewy. The rice was flavourful. But the eel on top you can't really taste and the chinese sausage that accompanied masked the flavour of the eel. Would recommend you to try the claypot rice but not the eel claypot rice. The clams again for the price was really worth it. Not overly salty. Each clam had meat in it and it was very meaty. Of the ones I had, I didn't get any with sand which is always a good thing. The service was really friendly. They gave us a big bowl of soup on the house and the food came out really fast. I would come back for the other claypot rice and to try their other lunch items because they are well priced. The restaurant itself feels kind of dirty but I mean it's part of the charm of the place.

Saw the lobster deal in the newspaper. I forgot the exact price but it was slightly under $40 for a 2lb ginger scallion lobster with saang mien on the bottom. There is extra cost to change it to cream sauce. Their cream sauce was mediocre. The lobster was really fresh and sweet. In order to get the lobster deal, you must order dishes costing at least $50. The salted duck egg prawns were really good. The egg tofu dish was just as good as other more expensive restaurants. The salt pepper pork was also done well. This is a very good place for almost close in quality to higher end restaurants without paying so much. You'll be spending about $100 for 4 people for a lobster dinner.

Delicious authentic HK style Chinese food in a hole in the wall like neighbourhood restaurant. The pork jowl was delicious, sweet, tender, and snappy. The honey garlic spareribs were also the perfect blend of sweet and savoury. The crispy chicken was very juicy and even the white meat part was tender and juicy which was a pleasant surprise. The Lobster and bitter melon with beef were all done well. The soup was good too and it came with a mung bean sweet soup for dessert. The only downside is the food comes extremely slowly when the restaurant is very busy so you may wait over 30 minutes before your first dish arrives and the time between dishes being served is also long.

Dined in to this small restaurant with my family, just because we use to be regulars almost a decade ago. I must say the service and food quality has dropped significantly over the span of the decade. We wanted to revisit this restaurant to see if it had become any better from before; however, it seems that the restaurant service had worsened. We came for lunch on Oct 20 and it slow for the restaurant (there were only 2 other elderly folks).

Everything was normal, my family was seated and the server took our order, the issue arose when the server (an older Asian lady) delivered the incorrect food to our table and when confronted politely about the issue that she had given us the wrong dish, she proceeded to blame us for HER mistake. She decides the BEST option to solve the issue was to throw the food away, which didn't affect me too much, but I generally dislike wasting food. The part that affected me was when confronted by the other table as to why the food was taking too long, she decided it was best to explain to the other table that it was my families fault that their food wasn't ready.

I assume she didn't think we understood Cantonese, but as someone who worked in the restaurant industry, I totally understand that mistakes happen, but I truly believe that this situation could have been handled more professionally and or avoided as a whole, especially without my family being antagonized and blamed for her simple mistake. There were a few other smaller issues after the issue, but I've decided to leave it out. My family and I have decided it's best we stay away from this restaurant as there are way better options 5...

DON'T COME HERE UNLESS IF YOU'RE LOOKING TO BE SERVED POOR ATTITUDE. I've eaten here many times, the food is good, a bit on the salty side, and service is just ok, usually I don't expect too much service from a Chinese restaurant. Yesterday though, food was good, but it was so obvious the kitchen skimped out /cheated on portions. Our peking duck looked like they divided 2 ducks among 3 tables. The crab- all 8 legs were there, but the meaty part from the upper thighs was missing. The lettuce provided for the lettuce wraps was less than half the head of iceberg lettuce. Service was appalling, every single staff, all of whom were family of the owner (3 people in total) gave us attitude. It was so consistently unprofessional amongst all 3 of them it was almost like they planned it??! Quotes included: "How could I scoop more soup for you???" When asked if the bowl of soup provided was for 10ppl, as we were provided the same size in the past, for 5ppl. "You MUST pay in cash!!!" In a very strict and mean tone, when asked if we are eligible for a discount based on what we were ordering that night. Apparently they decide on a case by case by case basis if you,'re eligible for a cash discount. "Oh, I wrote curry beef, its fine, why don't you just eat it?" No apologies at all, when they made us the wrong dish. "There's already napkins on the table!!!" When asked to bring more napkins. The attitude was so bad, I lost my appetite halfway into the meal. If you really are craving Chinese food, just get takeout, don't dine in. But don't be surprised if some of your food is...
