Update: Unfortunately due my most recent experience here am going to have to downgrade my review. This place has went downhill. The service is not friendly. And ordered 2 lunch specials and: 1) they mixed the salad with the hot food in an enclosed to go container resulting it being totally mushy. 2) they cheaped on the protein big time (only like 1 or 2 pieces of chicken) 3) they decided to cheap out on the entre itself by only giving half the usual serving by filling half of it with salad and half with the actual entre (see photo). The salad should be in a seperate container and the main entre container should be FULL with the actual entre. 4) spring rolls was missing (they used to have this but apparently not any more). Go to any other Thai restaurant and a lunch special will include it! I honestly question people's judgement of how this place has so many recently good reviews. It is not acceptable for them to serve food this way. I highly recommend going to Thai Away on granville. 1000x better, nicer staff, better food and proper portion sizes. Honestly this place just downright sucks. Is probably the worst Thai food I've ever had and for 38 bucks for 2 HALF servings for a lunch special and a tom yum soup, i feel totally ripped off. Highly recommend you avoid this place if you don't want to feel like you've been robbed. ‐---‐---------‐----------------------------------------- As a local westender this is my go-to Thai food place. They are very consistent and always great service here. Really good quality food for the price here as well (compared to the surrounding Thai food joints here). They never cheap out on the meat or seafood. The tom yum soup and the cashew chicken combo are my favorites. Definitely recommend this place!

Khob khun ka āļ‚āļāļšāļ„āļļāļ“āļ„āđˆāļ° !! A vibrant, quaint yet traditional upbeat home-cooking style Thai joint is a great go-to option slap bang in the middle of Davie and Thurlow, wiith an easy and efficient ordering service. I was impressed at how cheap this joint was, especially due to its location with pretty fresh tasting and delicious in plentiful portion! Am absolute gem of a deal in their lunch menu which has a good selection of dishes and caters well for veggies. I got a spicy Pad See Ew āļœāļąāļ”āļ‹āļĩāļāļīāđŠāļ§ which was very yummy, authentically flavorsome, filling and you can grab yourself some spicy sauces, condiments and extra peanuts. It was just missing a bit of zest that gave it that really fragrant thai style flavor which always sends you back to reminiscing of good old days backpacking beautiful Thailand. I was slightly disappointed with the amount of prawns (4) from an extra protein portion, but this is by far one of the best value for money and taste fast food joints around this part of town. Support local businesses!

Location is nice. Close to Kits Beach. The atmosphere is "ok". Meaning that it's not the best ambiance. And certainly not the worse. Could be a little cleaner. Found the place to be a little dirtier than I'd like. The food is ok. I'm not sure we would come back often. We got a Thai Basil Beef to share with the wife and it was quite salty. Large enough portions. They were generous. So the food isn't terrible, but it certainly could have been better. Not sure I can recommend the place though it is cheap enough that it's a nice place to go to for "fast" Thai food. But if you're looking for a nice night out for Thai food. I'm not sure I can recommend this place as a place to go to. Decent. But not great enough to earn four stars on the review. Maybe in the future if they change certain things. Another star could be added. For now. Three stars and a recommendation to try. But it's an ok place.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a wonderful restaurant in the west end.The restaurant, simply called “Thai Basil", offers a wide variety of dishes prepared with fresh ingredients. From the moment I stepped inside, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant and the friendliness of the staff.

The restaurant’s menu is extensive and varied, offering something for everyone. I chose the Thai green chicken curry with a side of coconut rice., and it was cooked to perfection. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the rice was creamy and delicious. The portion size was generous, and I enjoyed every bite.

The service was friendly and attentive. The wait staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and eager to answer any questions. I was also impressed with how quickly my food was served. I received my food within minutes of placing my order.

The restaurant also offers excellent value for money. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are generous. I also appreciate that the restaurant offers a variety of discounts and specials throughout the week.

Overall, I had a great experience dining at The Restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and efficient, and the restaurant was clean and...
