Uncle Fatih's Pizza - ABBOTT — Restaurant in Vancouver

Omfg the girl taking My order needs some training and he person making the pizza needs to read the order properly!!! Thank god I was not allergic to any of the ingredients he put on the pizzas . she said 20 mins.. I waited 45minz because she was too busy helping the line behind me and my pizza was sitting there for at least 10minz before I interrupted and reminded her of my small pizzas just sitting there getting cold.. she said yes it’s coming brushed me off and continued to help two more ppl and then said yes it’s coming again! So I was like I am in a hurry and u just throw them in a box w two garlic sauces so I could go?! N she stopped n took her time saying “oh yes those two pizzas they get two dipping sauces for free which would u like ?” And continued to help another person as I was furious at this point and said yes I kno can I get two garlic sauces can u just give them to me so I could go!? N then she asked the next customer what pizza he wanted and put them in the oven to heat up and then finally finished packing the pizzas in two boxes and gave them to me. Then took her sweet time grabbing two garlic sauces and I said I don’t need a bag. She said no it’s okay.. n I was like omg cuz she was taking forever just to find a small paper bag to put two tiny garlic sauces in!!! When I already said I don’t need the bag.!! Finally got home two blks away and the two pizzas were not even what I had ordered!!! Fml worst experience ever I should have checked my order before leaving the store!! The pizzas were rock hard cold too many sesame seeds all over the pizzas and barley any sauce on them! I ordered just chicken pesto but got spicy curry tasting chicken w onions red green peppers tomatoes and the second one was supposed to be feta tomato but got green peppers mushrooms and...

Last night was the worst experience that I have had with unle faiths and I have been a loyal customer of the Abbott's store for 8 years now, and I order often. The two cheese pizzas were so dry from being over cooked as they obviously were previously canceled pizzas that they thought they could use them and give to me. They were borderline burnt black on the bottom and even though I get extra cheese the cheese and sauce line was only half way up the pizza which left a crust that was as big as the part that you eat. The third one I ordered was Hawaiian Wich was done normally and was fresh they just forgot to cut it at all so I had to slice it myself Wich is fine. However for a cost of $60+ for the 3 medium pizzas delivered it was totally unacceptable and it was late so you can't call back as they are closed. I have had problems with my pizza maybe 20 times over the years but have only ever had them replace one pizza once for me regardless of the severity of there mistake. This is the first negative review I have wrote but I felt I had too get something from the $65 I spend except one medium Hawaiian and two throw away mediums that you could not eat. Cheers. If they read this and correct there previous error and make me replacement pizzas I will be sure to write that here aswell....

This review is about this Abbott Street location. In particular about the people who work here. I've lived in Vancouver for 20 years and I've never seen exemplary customer service than I've consistently received from a young gentleman called Shubhh.

If you're a regular, you know exactly who I mean. He always greets you by name with a pleasant smile, remembers your orders, goes above and beyond in accommodating your preferences. He still asks for my mother's health, who was visiting me about two years ago and was poorly.

In a world that's inherently transactional, and at late night pizza place at that, Shubhh somehow is an example of how to bring humanity to a very ordinary exchange. Getting late night pizza, while occasionally inebriated.

Anyway, pizza is pizza, and Uncle Fatih's is decent and consistent. Honestly, better quality toppings than you'll find in similar establishments open late.

While pizza is pizza, good and kind human beings are rare. And so this is both for readers of this review, and for employers of Shubhh.
