Today I when to the food court and came across this place and thought I'd give it a try. Let me first off say that I am Jamaican born, and I grew up there. My review is specific to me and I give fair and honest reviews. First of all if you haven't had real authentic Jamaican foods this would likely taste good to you. For me, however, this was ridiculously bad. The first bite left me wishing I'd gone elsewhere, wasted my money. I've reviewed restaurants in edmonton some good some bad so my review here is not badmind or trying to discredit. The food presentation was poor, the pimento was lost in the rice (the food tasted like when my little cousin learning how to cook). I don't Normally purchase Jamaican foods because I can cook it myself. I do so merely to support, but it seems like some of these restaurants are only cooking because they can, with no intention of making people who are use to the authentic foods enjoy it. The only Jamaican/Caribbean restaurant I've actually enjoyed lately are Safrons ( a place that when I first had it was so bad I stayed away for years, they recently have a new cook that actually made the food taste good, this is not an endorsement for safrons), the second place is called Spice N Rice ( they rarely disappoint, not that they haven't but it's really rare). If you enjoy food here that's good for you but I didn't. Continue to buy if you like eating there. But if you're use to that authentic taste with coconut in your rice an peas and your jerk chicken having taste (Jerk was disappointing), you probably don't want to waste your money here, or use real ingredients in proper proportions ( to whoever cooks here). I order regularly size jerk chicken. Photos attached " just look at the presentation!" SMH

Always wanted a Jamaican joint in the mall so how can I complain? Thank you!! Had the curried goat and jerk chicken a few weeks ago. The curry was really good. Perfectly spiced and balanced. The chicken was good but it was literally minutes to closing so it was a bit dry. Could perhaps use a little more heat for the flavour to really hit. I'll try it another time when it's not end of day. Excellent service and good portion size. (Oh, I'm always an advocate for more veggies so maybe a little more lively garden/green salad instead of just coleslaw and some escovitch snapper fillet for the non-meat eaters) You can message me for the link to get the fillet. Overall, it was great. Go grab some!

Can't make up your mind where to eat in this gigantic mall? LOOK NO FURTHER. This totally blew me away. After having jerk chicken in Jamaica and around the Caribbean, this is on par if not better. At first I wondered why I was only given a fork with no knife, but it all made sense once I took my first bites with the chicken falling off the bone. Unreal. The flavors are fresh, the spicy sauce is tangy yet smokey at the same time. The portion size was perfect to fuel the long walks in the mall. The Tropical Rhythms juice makes for a great pairing to wash it all down too. I wish this place existed in BC! Highly recommend.

I highly recommend this place. We have had the jerk chicken with the rice and peas a few times now. First time there one of the servers encouraged us to try a bit of the ox tail sauce over the dish and now I'll ask for it every time. Very few places in Edmonton to get nice plantains and they contrastingly pair really nicely with the chicken. The slaw was simple and just peppery enough for me, and I would recommend getting extra jerk sauce to dip the chicken in. I got the extra mild jerk sauce, super tangy tasty, and next time I think I may try the spicier version, as I like spicy food. This time around I was getting take-out and I got a spicy beef patty for the road, it was really good. Driving across town to WEM just for jerk chicken was...
