This was my first visit to Taco Time, and unfortunately, it will probably be my last. I ordered one chicken burrito and a taco in a bag. However, the cashier rang it in as a combo with a drink and Mexi Fries — which I never ordered — and I was charged for it.
When I noticed the error on the receipt, I politely informed her. Her reaction made me feel as though I had asked for something unreasonable. She insisted she had asked me and I had agreed, which I honestly don’t remember, but I understand that misunderstandings can happen, especially in a noisy environment.
What bothered me wasn’t the mistake, but the attitude. She exchanged looks with her coworker like I was creating a scene, even though I calmly asked for the overcharge to be refunded. I didn’t want to escalate the situation in front of other customers and kids, so I took my refund and food without further comment.
