Had a dinner there with the family. The service was wonderful, with all the servers being very attentive and welcoming, and the atmosphere was good. However, the meal was very pricey.
The crispy pork knuckle was delicious. It wasn’t very crispy but the taste was excellent. Our favourite was definitely the pear and goat cheese salad. The signature French onion soup was also good, however, we wish it had more soup. It mainly comprised of an unreasonably large amount of cheese. There was a thick layer of cheese right below the soup’s surface, and since we went to the restaurant for a cheese fondue, it made us a little tired of cheese when the fondue was brought out. The cheese fondue was extremely bitter. It tasted a lot like herbal medicine. It may just be my taste palette, but it was not tasty. Others at the restaurant seemed to enjoy it so I assume it was still nicely crafted. As I’ve seen mentioned by many other reviews, the food is definitely not worth the hundreds of dollars we spent. The chocolate fondue was delicious, though slightly too sweet. The wide arrangement of treats was great, especially the assortment of fresh fruit along with cookies and meringues.
Dining here was a nice experience, but due to the cost and the taste, we...
Read moreThis is the first time I visited this gorgeous chalet with gorgeous Christmas lights, fireplace so cozy and classy. Gillian was my server and she was beyond amazing. Her attention to detail, her l lovely personality, charm and recommendations. She really made my night very special. Gillian went above and beyond for me. The manager was so nice, funny and helpful he is the right person for the job. He checked on every table and guest to make sure their experience was top notch.
I ordered the large platter of fresh veggies right from the garden, wiener schnitzel the best I have had , Bavarian sausage, cheese fondue the best I have tasted and I was so full I shared my chocolate fondue with my friends at the Four Seasons! I have been to many fondue places especially in Vail/Beaver Creek and they have no idea what they are doing this is the way it should be Thank you to the chefs, reception, servers, manager and especially Gillian and the...
Read moreThe ambiance is beautiful in winter time. There was Christmas decorations, Christmas tree, fireplaces going, snow in the background. It wasn’t too loud. Our server was very knowledgable and attentive. But, we would not go back. The food is way over priced for what you get. The cheese fondue only comes with pickles and bread, and you have to pay 2x for it as it’s a two person minimum. (Along with anything else you get) The French onion soup was very good, but again not worth the price. The steak was fatty and shaved super thin and tasteless. We had to spit it out. The server was very apologetic and offered if we wanted something else. We tried the sausage, but it was mushy inside and wet and again had to spit it out. After that we asked for the check and skipped the chocolate fondue. Over all, good service, beautiful location, but over priced and meat is very...
