I came here with my parents and had a net positive experience here despite the 3 stars. It's a small place, with about 3 tables inside and 3 outside, but they do provide real plates, cutlery, etc for dining in. The staff were very friendly. They were out of a few things - no more oatmeal and only one serving of matcha left when we all wanted matcha, but the alternatives that we went with were still appealing, so it wasn't a big deal. The one matcha went to my mom, and it seemed like she got the scraps of it because it looked and tasted pretty watery. I got a chai latte which was pretty good but a little grainy. The food on the other hand was really good. I got the buckwheat pancakes and tried some of the smoothie bowl. The pancakes were hearty and fluffy, topped with a delicious berry chia jam and cashew cream. The plate came with 3 small-ish pancakes which was a satisfying portion that wasn't too much. We were also asked if we wanted maple syrup with the pancakes, but I ended up not needing to add any because the jam and cream were enough. Maple syrup is $2 for a small cup so I would recommend skipping it unless you really want something sweeter. The jam and cream are just modestly sweet which was perfect for me. The blueberry smoothie bowl was also delicious and came with lots of toppings - their granola had a delightful texture. It was a bit of a wait for food, so ordering the breakfast plates is probably not the best option if you're in a hurry, but they have ready-to-eat stuff available if you do want something quick, and the drinks didn't take long. I would have liked to return if I were in Whistler longer to try more of...
Read moreMy experience was so incredibly disappointing! Being one of the only places in Whistler for vegan food and healthy smoothies I expected a lot. The staff seemed to lack training on how to make a smoothie or what the texture of a smoothie should be. I got a 16 oz Einstein & a bliss ball - the bliss ball was delicious but the smoothie was so bad I ended up throwing it out - I tried to give it to my husband who is not a picky eater but even he could not drink it. There were huge chunks of banana in it and strawberries due to improper blending.
I also waited 20 min for the smoothie (it was a bit busy not enough to warrant a 20 min wait)... Not sure if the equipment was at fault or the staff. Since we were on our way out of Whistler I didn't bother going back to return the smoothie - but honestly more training required for the staff - this place has so much potential but a huge disappointment as it stands.
I usually don't leave these kind of bad reviews but this experience was...
Read moreAbsolutely love this place! It was my 3rd time back -- previously only had the pumpkin latte (which has no coffee (even healthier!)) twice last year and was looking forward to it on this trip. It's actually made from FRESH PUMPKIN -- how amazing is that!?! This time it was a little too sweet but I happened to have a bit of latté remaining from another place and mixed it in -- pure perfection after!
Also got their collard green wrap with beets and quinoa -- absolutely divine.
Their pumpkin pie square was also amazing -- you can taste the dates (no refined sugar)... what an ingenious way to make dessert guilt free.
The staff were lovely and I decided to try the book (will have to do an update in future). As someone who suffers from long COVID and the ensuing chronic fatigue, I realize how important it is to nourish your body properly with clean foods, so I decided to get the book!
So, so, SO love this place, hope it stays forever. Looking forward to going back...
