Kai Pho — Restaurant in Winnipeg

I dropped by to pick up lunch....a quick bowl of pho. The soup was ok.....I wasn't expecting much from a food court pho counter, and it was about what I expected. What I didn't expect was absolute apathy bordering on rudeness from the staff. The food court at lunch in Citi Place is BUSY. There are lineups at every restaurant kiosk......except Kai Pho. Competition is fierce, but the staff here just didn't care. From the moment I walked up to the moment I walked away with my soup, the staff didn't say a single word to me. The three people working were too busy laughing and talking to each other, and looked insulted to have their conversation interrupted by a customer wanting to place an order. Not a "Hello", not a "Thank you". Just silence. I have no doubt that there will be another restaurant in their place quite soon if they continue to show complete apathy towards the customers they're clearly having...

Have eaten here before. Food was good. Today myself and another customer asked for the salad rolls with shrimp. We were both offered a sample pair of rolls that were wrapped in Saran Wrap and sitting at the till as a display. The first customer said that she didn’t know how long those had been sitting out not refrigerated and would like fresh ones made. She was polite. She was told no. She asked again to clarify if they would make fresh ones and was again told no. She said no thank you and walked away. There were no other customers waiting. I then stepped up and asked as the ones sitting out had shrimp and I would also ask for fresh ones. The staff person picked up the ones on the counter and said I could have that one. I said I would appreciate fresh ones. I was told no as well. Very unfortunate that two customers business was...

Spring Rolls: TASTE: 5 STARS!! SIZE: ONE STAR! Like the skinniest cigar. Too bad. Because one of the best Vietnamese Spring Rolls in Town! Bahn Mi: Very Long! I was surprised! The bread was wonderful, But very sloppily made. One sprig of cilantro at one end only. Very sloppy, and tasteless. The beef was good taste. But that's all. Mostly shredded carrot. Very little cucumber. Nothing was evenly dispersed. And there were no other customers, just me. The boy who works there, he doesn't care. After a bit I had to say "excuse me, hello" But who could blame him? Working in a horrible food court. But, you bring shame on your family young son. Stop slurping so much in your cup, and pay attention to FOOD! Hey kid, either work, pay attention, or quit your job. HINT TO OTHERS : DON"T BOTHER...
