After a brilliant day exploring Patagonia region we had high hopes for a fantastic meal at Napoli. Unfortunately our experience in a relatively busy small restaurant turned into a really frustrating experience. Having ordered 3 natural juice drinks, one lasagne, garlic bread and 2 pizzas the lasagne tuned up first and a mix up of drinks arrived 10 minutes afterwards. Half the lasagne got eaten and left due to a rubbery cheese texture, but our two pizzas had not even arrived. The garlic bread had no garlic content but there was a cheesy dip in the middle with a light hint of garlic, not ideal. In all we were seated for one hour, in that time other tables were being served food and drinks. To appease the situation we were offered Lemoncello but we declined and so we asked for the un-arrived pizzas to be boxed up to take away, paid the bill minus the Tip they placed on the bill. Having some Italian heritage in the family my view was that the pizza quality wasn't that great. A disappointing experience after a great day exploring the local...
Read moreThe woodfired pizzas and gnocchi with Patagonia lamb sauce was absolutely delicious. The waiter spoke a little English and the menu is in English and Spanish. I wanted to eat local cuisine but was outvoted by the rest of my family, who wanted pizzas for the 3rd night in a row despite being in Chile. So I treated myself to a pisco sour (without sugar/ sin azúcar) and enjoyed the food way more than I expected. The pizzas were warming and hearty because they had a lot of topping, so we didn't feel like it was another meal of bread. The jugo naturales (fresh juice) was delicious, as always in Chile, and there were more flavours than we'd had before. The passionfruit/ maracuyá was amazing. The flags hanging from the ceiling was the other reason we went to this restaurant. Our sons spent ages naming all the flags and we googled some we didn't know. We'd highly recommend this restaurant if you're after pizza/ Italian and/ or...
Read moreI hate to leave this review but unfortunately my partner and I got food poisoning after eating dinner there last night. We hadn't eaten for hours so unfortunately can't tie the sickness to any other food or place. We ordered the garlic bread and a vegetarian pizza because we wanted something with a lot of veggies on it. While the pizza tasted good (love wood fire pizza), something on it did not sit well with us and very quickly gave us food poisoning, which kept us both up all night and set back our travel plans. We suspect the bell peppers or tomatoes were the issue, which might be attributed to different bacteria biomes on veggies here vs. what we eat in the US where we live; however, we've been eating a lot of fruit and veggies while in Chile and haven't had any issues prior to...
