Came across this place looking for a place to eat on a Sunday night. Apparently Punta Arenas goes absolute silent on Sunday evenings which was something we didn't account for. After trying some options we ended up here. One of the few places (if not the only one), that takes in customers after 8/9 ish. Looking at the menu you can see the telltale sign of too many options. But a hungry man takes what he can get.
After scrolling the options I ordered the lamb shank with wine sauce accompanied by fries. The lamb was bland to taste and a bit tough and very cold. The wine sauce comes in a little cup and just tastes like sugary wine. I've had lamb 3 other times in Punta Arenas and they are all amazing. So this was a let down. The fries were ok but a bit dampy, did the trick tho. I mean they're fries. I don't mean to sound too harsh but I can't help but feel like the lamb was wasted potential.
The staff was hard working and helpful tho. Very professional and provided a wonderful service. I hope there are other dishes here that are more their speciality and people seem to leave satisfied so don't judge them just off of my review. I'm just sharing my experience. Even while writing this review the place is pretty packed, I wonder tho if that's the case because everything else is closed. I'd give this in...
Read moreSunday night open when everyone else was closed. I had a helpful server who spoke some English. I ordered the king crab chowder. It came in a bowl with melted cheese on top. It was very thick, like a dip. It was good, but I wished I had some crackers or tortillas chips instead of a spoon. I had the fries too, a huge amount They weren’t very crispy. They automatically added a 10% tip which I was able to pay with a...
