Palacio del Vino — Restaurant in Santiago

We came as it is very recommended in lonely planet and our hotel was nearby. It’s an old mansion, only seemed a bit dusty - but then the (very friendly) owner told us about just having reopened 2 days ago. So I think he is just coming back after the pandemic and things have to get rolling. The dishes were very Italian (not ideal if you live close to the Italian border ^^) but the sandwiches were very good and the recommended wine fitted perfectly. We originally were coming for a drink but the host was so welcoming and friendly that we stayed for starters as well and came back for a proper dinner the next day. Comida: su carta va desde acompañamientos con proteína de vacuno y pescado, luego disponen de variadas pastas y sándwiches típicos, su carta de vino es amplia y variada, puedes tomar vino por copa, nosotros pedimos de entrada ostiones a la mantequilla, principal sudado de congrio y plateada pasta al pomodoro, todas las preparaciones estaban sabrosas y en buena proporción, ya para el postre pedimos una torta de panqueque nuez - manjar la que solo tenía un detalle respecto el agregado de moras, que estaban no completamente descongeladas, hubiera preferido que no las agregaran. Servicio: son muy atentos, están constantemente buscando retroalimentación y no tienen problemas en corregir si hay diferencias.
