Donde Willy Restaurant — Restaurant in Viña del Mar

We decided to try Donde Willy in Viña del Mar after searching through many various restaurants in the area. I initially reached out via chat (provided by Google search) and they were quickly able to answer my questions and set up our reservation for 5 people later that night (Friday).

Upon our arrival, we were walking up the alley and a man (Mario) says, "Are you Will?" Probably not something that happens regularly, but it was a very pleasant surprise. I honestly felt like a famous person! He promptly led us to our table and got us situated right away.

Both Mario and Denic were exquisite servers. We had many conversations and it may quite possibly have been the best service for a meal we have ever received!

We all ordered "The Experience," which was a 5 course meal with wine pairings. Everything came out to perfection and the quality of the pairings were out of this world. They definitely have a top notch crew working in the back of house, in addition to the stellar front of house service. They even made a substitution for my sister who was unsure about one of the courses. Not something they can always do, but they seem to go the extra mile if they can!

I came from Canada for with wife and daughters to meet my family in Santiago Chile. Before we went on a sightseeing tour of the coast, one of my cousins recommended we go to Donde Willy’s restaurant while we were in Vina del Mar. Am I glad he told us to go because it was probably the best dining experience we’ve ever had! The restaurant was nice and we received outstanding service by Denic. A true professional with that old school art of serving and treated us extremely well. Every dish and wines he recommended were superb! The pastel de Choclo was as good or better than the ones my grandmother and mom used to make the traditional way. All of the seafood we tried was perfectly prepared and VERY fresh. Being a Fishing Charter Captain I’m accustomed to eating fresh seafood. I can tell when seafood is fresh and this was as good as it gets! Unfortunately we only able to make one visit and only had the chance to try 2 appetizers, 4 mains and dessert. But we can’t wait for our next trip to Chile so we can make a few more visits to Donde Willy to try out the rest of the menu! A truly unforgettable...

During our visit to Chile, we stumbled on this cozy restaurant. We were blown away! The food was outstanding! The service was first class. I experienced a couple culinary firsts. We started with a sample platter (marinero Willy) that had crab dip, abalone, mussels, and cerviche. It was amazing. So fresh! I also tried sea urchin and loved that too! We loved this place so much that when we saw that they were having a wine pairing dinner, we drove an hour and a half to attend. We were not disappointed. Another amazing meal that was enhanced by the wine.
