I had the pleasure of dining at YI Macao with a group of friends on Father’s Day, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The restaurant’s interior is absolutely stunning — a seamless blend of modern architecture, elegant details, and artistic flair. Each table is cleverly spaced to give a real sense of privacy without needing a private room. If you keep your voice low, it feels like you’re in your own exclusive space! We went with the special full-course menu created for the Father’s Day celebration. Every dish was beautifully presented, refined in flavor, and thoughtfully crafted. From the fresh seafood tray to the intricately plated mains, everything was top-tier. Some highlights included the braised abalone, roasted pigeon, tiger prawn, and double-boiled soup — each dish showcasing a perfect harmony of texture and taste. To pair with the meal, we enjoyed some beautiful wines including a 2013 Cos d’Estournel and Château Palmer, which elevated the evening even more.

A new Chinese restaurant at Morpheus serving fusion cuisines with excellent interior decoration, dish presentation & services. Essentially it’s Chinese food from different provinces & in a Western setting. Menu is not descriptive at all as it only gives you an idea of what kind of main food ingredients being served, number of dishes & prices. It’s more like a Chinese version of omakase. Undoubtedly, food prepared were outstanding, fresh & yummy. I liked the shrimps cooked with truffles, fish maw & fruit soup, pan-fried whelks a lot. The Sichuan Wagyu beef noodle was fairly authentic & yet innovative with pairing beef. The last cup of tea at the end was prepared near the table & presented in a very lavish style & tea wares. The only critic I had was fairly pricy overall.

It’s our 2nd time to visit Yi. From service, food presentation to taste, everything is up to standard. The menu is the essence of all the Chinese delicacies, crafted with fresh ingredients in modern twist. The tea varieties on the menu is inspiring and highly recommended especially the sparkling tea and cinnamon apple tea. You can feel the artisanal touches in most of the dishes and beverages. I am not a fan of meat, but the wagyu and pigeon dishes are fascinating. Special dietary habits are well taken care with details. Overall it was a wonderful culinary journey.
