Tasty Thai Curry👍🏻;Presentation👍🏻;Staff👍🏻
After enjoying some excellent food in Thailand (Chiang Mai) in Oct-2017, I was once again craving for Thai food of SIMILAR QUALITY 🍲 in Hong Kong.
And Apinara in Pacific Place did not disappoint me at all 😋👌🏻 I thought Apinara scored VERY WELL in all the key areas: Taste :👍🏻 Presentation 👍🏻 Seating/Ambience 👍🏻 Staff/Service 👍🏻
In addition to the seating inside the main restaurant, Apinara has an outside seating and that’s where we were seated. Loved it!😍 It offers a 360 degree view of the mall and it’s great to eat there when the mall is not crowded. (Not sure how enjoyable it would be when the mall is absolutely crowded... haven’t tried during that time 😁).
The STAFF is very courteous and cheerful. We got seated immediately and luckily didn’t have to wait despite a fairly occupied restaurant.
The DRINKS MENU had many choices which were mix of some Thai drinks and the usual internationals favorites. The TUK TUK cocktail is obviously a Thai favorite and had very nice Presentation.... and an even nicer taste!😋
The SIAM ROSE MOJITO was an AWESOME fusion of Thai flavors with the immortal Mojito. 🤩This was a Mojito with delicate rose flavor and I was IMPRESSED. A MUST-HAVE if you are a Mojito lover!!😍
The YELLOW CURRY SEABASS had a very rich and tasty gravy. 😋And it went perfectly with the exotic looking BLUE COLORED... BUTTERFLY PEA RICE. The presentation of the seabass curry was very good.... it made me even more hungry !
The STAR OF THE MEAL was the TOM YUM PRAWNS FRIED RICE.🤩it’s a MUST-TRY! It truly reminded me of the food I had in Thailand (Chiang Mai) in October 2017!! It’s like they brought it all the way from Thailand 😍
Apinara reminds you of the genuine Thai cuisine that you’d have had on past visits to Thailand. It’s certainly an authentic Thai restaurant...
Read moreApinara is a fantastic recountal of resounding Thai cuisine. We were here this past Sunday and were able to get a seat around 19:00 without reservations. Tucked in Pacific Place, it’s a clean, contemporary look for a restaurant.
We got pad thai which is almost a staple for an order, for the child. Red curry and crispy fried tofu for the hubster and I. I tell you, everything tasted profound. Elevated flavours, I’m salivating now as I write this post, re-imagining my meal.
The child got a mango smoothie, and we got their speciality cocktails, that had equally snazzy presentations. Sanctuary of Truth was rum, Pimms, apple and passion fruit juices, with lime and vanilla. Siam Myth was vodka with pineapple juice. The chilli flavour didn’t come through and for some reason, it tasted a tad bitter.
A luscious, rich, creamy and supremely flavourful red curry with fried tofu and pumpkins. Crisp to perfection with a nice touch of garlic, chillies and basil, the tofu fry. The textures of those two different styles of tofu were great – the fried ones in the stir fry were clean and CRISP. The fried ones in the curry were soft and tender inside, with a chewy exterior, in a good way. I can’t begin to tell how many times the fried tofu is messed up with it becoming a bit less palatable and a lot more chewy (not in a good way).
The pad thai was a win too, simple, chewy, well balanced with the sweet-sour-salt. The usual garnish of sprouts and peanuts on the side.
They have a separate vegetarian menu which means big groups can order galore, and you can try it all. You must. I would’ve loved to!

Apinara brings together four popular snacks in northeastern Thailand, including northeastern pork balls, Chiang Mai sausage, Thai sausage and minced meat salad. Sure enough, all three types of pork have a very fragrant Thai spice flavor, the pork balls are crispy, and the sausages are very savory and refreshing.
◎ 2.Grilled Pork Neck with Papaya Salad Thai-style pork neck is also quite famous. Apinara has a roast pork neck with green papaya salad, so you can eat two kinds of Thai food at one time. The restaurant roasts the pork neck meat to the point where it is extremely refreshing and chewy, and paired with its unique Thai sauce, it is definitely an extraordinary roast pork neck meat. In addition, after eating the rather rich roast pork neck, you can also eat the green papaya salad. The green papaya is cut into strips, which is fragrant and crisp, which can clean the taste buds.
◎ 3. Mango Sticky Rice with Coconut Milk After eating authentic Thai food, this dessert will never go away. I believe everyone knows that the most famous Thai dessert is mango sticky rice with coconut milk. Apinara keeps the glutinous rice at a warm-up temperature, drizzled with thick coconut milk, and served with slippery mango. It is very satisfying to eat in one bite.
◎ 4. Young Coconut The coconut greens are quite large and filled with thick coconut meat. In addition to drinking coconut milk, remember not to be troublesome, just scrape them with your hands to taste the...
