Named after โsalt and earth,โ Salisterraโs coastal cuisine with flavors from across the Mediterranean is both familiar and surprising. The interior was designed by renowned architect Andrรฉ Fu and features a mix of earthy tones creating five distinct dining spaces. Perched on the 49/F of The Upper House, it captures the character of a neighborhood bistro while offering harbor vistas from its lofty perch.

The former delighted with plump clams bursting with briny flavor in a broth mingling Pernod and fennel. While indulgent beef carpaccio impressed with a backdrop of bagna cauda, olives, capers and arugula. Both dishes tantalized the palate with bright Mediterranean flavors.

๐ฝ๐ค๐ช๐๐ก๐ก๐๐๐๐๐จ๐จ๐ (7.5/10) It delighted with its innovative presentation. Tender seabass and crostini topped with Parmesan awaited, accompanied by red mullet bisque meant to pour over the ensemble. This nuanced twist allowed customers to saturate ingredients to their fancy, intensifying the luscious notes of the broth with every bite.
๐ฝ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐ง๐๐๐๐ฉ๐ (7/10) It arrived cooked to medium rather than the requested medium-rare, though flavorful and tender. However, the ribeye lacked the caramelized crust and rich interior notes that typically make the cut stand out. A worthy but unexceptional selection.

๐พ๐๐ช๐ง๐ง๐ค๐จ (7.5/10) The uniquely long, snaking shape coiled elegantly on the plate, lighting up the presentation. Light and crunchy yet indulgent, dunking the crispy tongs into the dark chocolate sauce brought an authentic stamp to this fun finale.

Service: very satisfied with the server of our tables. General, it reaches fine dining / Five starred hotel standards, like robots. They will clean the table before desserts. Only delayed to serve coffee & tea. I was looking at the manager, and he realized what's missing. He prepared the coffee and tea for us immediately. We asked our server if we could collect Asiamile points, but the waitress told us that it would be very slow. We didn't understand and felt that she didn't want to do that for us.--- 9/10

sent an email 2 weeks ago for a birthday celebration, then we just showed up without much hassle as it's in the BCD in Hong Kong island. Once we settled in our table with a magnificent harbor view, we had a little chat with the table waiter and decided what to have. no welcome drink is offered, but we ordered appetizers right away. The salad and squid were nice enough for us to anticipate the main courses.
We had a nicely pan-fried halibut, and some fragrant risotto truffle which was not undercooked. That's what I felt very pleased. hah ๐
We would like to move on to the dessert as that's my favorite thing for a western cuisine. Though the coffee was really so so.
Not surprisingly, their dessert was well made with authentic taste comparable to the ethnic italiano. Moisture in it made it perfect, though more bitter taste could make it more balanced with the sweetness. The articulate table service comes in unity to the harmonious view of our beloved harbor. What a pleasant time and our guest was happy, that's the whole point of visiting....
