Shiro Pacific Place — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗝𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 Located at Pacific Place, Shiro is a casual yet quality Japanese restaurant offering wide range of foods. Went there for dinner and thought it would not be half full, but quite the contrary! Guess their quality and value kept some patron around the area.

𝗛𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗼𝗻𝘇𝘂 𝗖𝗿𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹 I like this salad a lot. With the citrus ponzu jelly, it’s so appetising!

𝗦𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗺𝗶 (𝗧𝘂𝗻𝗮, 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗯𝗶, 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗻, 𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶) Very nice and thick cut of sashimi. Love the salmon the most!

𝗦𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗶 (𝗡𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗼 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗨𝗻𝗶, 𝗔𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗶 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘄𝗮, 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗮𝗿) Trio of sushi wrapped the starter part nicely. All three were delicious and in good quality.

𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗶 A good one with lots of different condiments like prawn, ginko, etc.

𝗧𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗩𝗲𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗺𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗮 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 With salt and tempura sauce, the two offered different style to the tempura. Just try both to see which you prefer more!

𝗣𝗮𝗻-𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝗲𝗳 𝗧𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝘂𝗰𝗲 The mustard was a bit overpowered to me and masked the beef. Suggest you to use the potato to mop them for double enjoyment: better steak and better fries this way!

𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗼 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻 (𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗵/𝘀𝗼𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗵) As a ramen nerd, this one was acceptable to me and the noodle itself was quite ok: al dente and smooth!

𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝘂𝗹𝗲𝗲 With various flavours, got the coffee and matcha ones....

I would like to express my gratitude towards the helpful and clever service of the servers, especially Wilson. We were celebrating birthdays for a lunch at Shiro. I had to arrange a cake but mt friends have arrived and seated. So I excused myself in the name of washroom. Then I rang the restaurant asking for the cake cutting fee and whether there is any side door for passing the cake given our table was so close to the restaurant entrance. Then Wilson immediately offered to meet me near Muji to receive the cake. That's exactly what I needed but avoided requesting directly as I didn't want to burden the staff too much. But Wilson just managed to give this solution within a second and even offered to keep looking for me in front of Muji.

I am really grateful for the extra miles, and wisdom offered by Wilson. And other servers were also very supportive and helpful in whispering to me about the cake arrangement.

We had a really great celebration given the excellent support and wisdom of the staff of Shiro.

Had a 7-course dinner here lately and it's a real steal at just $388+! Starting with the Hamachi seaweed salad, refreshing with the tangy ponzu crystal dressing. The sashimi platter featured scallop, botan ebi, salmon, and hamachi that were incredibly fresh. The sushi platter was delightful with Negitoro uni, seared engawa, and scallop with caviar. An interlude was a Chawan-mushi, just before the mains: The Tiger prawn and vegetable tempura platter was crispy and satisfying. For an extra treat, I opted for the pan-fried beef tenderloin with mustard sauce, which worth the extra cost. The Shiro ramen in pork broth or soy chicken broth was comforting bowl and make sure your stomach is full. Finally, the Crème Brûlée - matcha & coffee flavours was beautiful.
