Spotted a new coffee shop on the corner of Sharp Street West when I was walking from Wan Chai to Causeway Bay one day. It has a Taiwanese/Japanese vibes with its simple black and white design as well as two sides facing the street since it is located at a junction.
First two things in the coffee shop that caught my eyes were these cute little toys around the shop! Sorry mate, this funny looking cat and the pikachu are so adorable :P
This Magic coffee is magnificent! I opted for a more chocolaty taste and adored this coffee so much! The rabbit latte art is definitely a piece of hearty food art! It is so beautiful that I didn’t want to drink the coffee…I managed to keep it in shape till the end of the coffee though :P
Another highlight is definitely the pastry in the cake display. I got this yummy yolk pastry. It has a heavy Taiwanese flavour with puffy crust, sweetened lotus stuffing and a nice egg yolk in the core. Love it!
I would definitely love to visit again for the magical coffee and try out other pastries in the shelf, as well as chill a bit in the busy and hectic...
Read moreThere are quite a few coffee specialists lining the streets of Causeway Bay these days. One place that stands out is Artista Perfecto on Sharp Street west of flyover road. This is a small place, a bit difficult to find if you are unfamiliar with the streets in the area but potentially worth the effort if you fancy something different and better than your run of the mill coffee drinks.
Indoor seating is limited to space for 6-7 patrons only, there are a couple seats outside as well. Coffee list is simple and straightforward. During my recent visit, I tried their espresso tonic which was excellent. The espresso was bold and stood out, blended well with the tonic water, a hint of lime gave the drink a citrus finish, making this a great espresso tonic, one I very much look forward to having again sometime soon....
Read moreI recently visited this place and found the coffee to be quite decent. However, I had a frustrating experience with my order. I specifically requested oat milk for my takeaway drink and was charged for it, but when I returned to the office, I realised I had been given full cream milk instead.
I understand that mistakes can happen, so I went back to the shop to address the issue. The barista confirmed that it was indeed full cream and stated that I was only charged for that. However, I had actually been charged for oat milk. There was no sign of apology or acknowledgment of the mix-up, which was disappointing, especially given the warm weather.
While the coffee is good, the service needs significant improvement in handling errors and showing a bit more consideration...
