Lunch experience at this place on January 3, 2024… not quite a good experience…

The waiters at this place are mostly old and cannot speak English well and fluently… but fortunately, their menu have english subtitle… so we can a little bit understand what we want to order… Even then there was a slight error between what we ordered and the food served…

I fell the waiters no much help us at all… they suggest to order 3 Items Siu Mei Platter its cost me 230HKD with out rice… 1 portions on rice its 12HKD… than i order Triple Roast With Rice its cost me only 86HKD… i feel more worth it to order 2 portions of Triple Roast with rice than the 3 Items Siu Mei Platter… then after that I pointed to the menu book wonton noodles but they serve me only the wonton… i complain to them but we not understand what they said so we don’t want to argue with them…

Hopefully, this message will be read by the owner. I visited your restaurant once/twice a year. This is my 11th visit. In these last two years, you roasted goose quality dropped significantly. Last year, I went to your place in the evening and found the goose was soft and chewy. The bamboo soup was sold out. Then, I revisited on the next day and found both dishes desirable. However, two days ago I went to your restaurant at 11 am because I was afraid that the roasted goose would sit too long. I found the goose was very chewy, cold and disappointing. I used to be a fan of your place. I'm reconsidering if I should go back...

I was actually expecting an over priced and over hyped BBQ pork and Cantonese cuisine but was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a dinner meal with two types of BBQ meats (where I chose BBQ pork and roast duck), a small plate of vegis, rice and a soup of my choosing. I chose a chicken feet, lean pork and mushroom soup. Soup was very warming with plenty of ingredients. BBQ pork was one of the better ones I've had. All for a very reasonable $76. My fiancee ordered a won ton noodle soup for $36. Also very reasonable and well made.

Recommend giving this place a try. Not cheap but not bad for...
