Today, my friend and I went to a restaurant called "Zip Zip" near Canal Road Flyover in Causeway Bay for lunch. This restaurant used to be a popular café called "Mamaday" but was renovated and rebranded. The interior design of the restaurant still maintains a trendy and playful style, with plenty of Instagrammable spots both inside and outside the store. It has many large glass windows, providing ample natural light to every seat. The decorations inside the restaurant are filled with colorful design elements.

The restaurant specializes in Western-style innovative fusion dishes. The menu offers a variety of options, and the names of the dishes are humorous and witty, making you smile after reading them. The entire environment reflects the effort the owners put into it. It's worth mentioning that the restaurant is pet-friendly, so you may see dogs 🐶 or cats 🐱 inside during your meal.

The set lunch includes a starter, where you can choose between soup or salad, a main course, and a beverage (no extra charge for chilled drinks).

🥗 The salad is colorful and thoughtfully prepared, not your typical set lunch salad! It includes dragon fruit, blueberries 🫐, shredded carrots 🥕, and a variety of fresh vegetables 🥬.

🥣 The cream vegetable soup is rich in flavor and has a thick texture. It leaves you eagerly anticipating the main course.

♦️ "Avocado Salmon Pizza - No Interesting Information to Provide" ($138) - The pizza crust is thin and crispy, with the edges being as crunchy as biscuits 😍. It has a layer of soft and melty cheese 🧀 on top, along with fresh avocado 🥑, a hint of purple onion slices 🧅, and smoked salmon 🐟, creating a delightfully rich combination of flavors.

♦️ "Cold Udon with a Very Long Name" ($128) - The udon noodles are springy and generously topped with lots of mentaiko (spicy cod roe) and a dash of pepper for a spicy kick. It's incredibly delicious and offers a rich layer of textures. The fried chicken wings 🍗 are golden and crispy, seasoned to perfection.

Finally got to try this awesome café. Tried to visit it without making an appointment on a Friday night but in vain since there were so many people queuing. Decided to give it another try at around 2pm on the other day and here we were. Restaurant was designed in an elaborate and playful way and there were several photo-taking spots. Dishes name were so hilarious that you might find it a bit awkward when you order the food lol. Although this restaurant named itself as “Mamaday”, which means so-so only in Cantonese, its food wasn’t so-so at all!😋👍🏻 . // Nothing Special Chicken Wings 💲68HKD// Totally in love with these buffalo wings. They were so crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with sesame drizzled over the top. I was craving for some pizza 🍕 so I got their Parma ham pizza! With its cheesy and big pieces of ham, it was so satisfying to have! Also gotta mention that their crust is thin which is not very heavy!

Lots of seafood in the risotto and topped with a crispy soft shell crab! ✨The risotto itself was soft and very flavourful

These are their special Christmas 🎄 drinks! Cold drink being choco mint and Oreo matcha frappe, the mint flavour was noticeable but not overpowering! It was just right with the matcha 🍵

Hot drink being cinnamon gingerbread latte, they have a little cute gingerbread cookie on top 👀 very nice to have in this cold weather 🥰

This is my second time visiting this cafe and I am still admiring their interior design 🫣 It’s so pretty with big windows as well 😆 Now with the Christmas decos, it’s prettier and great spot to enjoy some good comfy food 🥰
