Note: The store only accepts cash, Octopus card, Visa/Mastercard Credit Card. It doesn't accept Alipay and WeChat Pay. There is also no additional 10% service charge most HK store have.
Food: 5/5 A bit of context, I've went to this cafĂŠ for a total of two times, first alone, and second with another friend. As this cafĂŠ is located around 20minutes from ACGHK.
From the two days, I've gotten a total of two coffee, and two different spaghetti. On the first day, I got the "Creamy Truffle Spaghetti" for HKD98, and a "Latte" for HKD40. On the second day, I got "Sour Cream Spaghetti" for HKD96, and a cup of "Flat White" for HKD40. All with no additional service charge, that's a steal.
For the coffee, both drinks were rich in flavor, with the latte having a richer milk flavor, and the flat white having overall less cream on the top. Both were tasty drinks, although it was a bit weird to get into as the cup sizes are shaped like tea cups, but after one or two tries, it would be natural. For both of them, I've also chosen the "Brazil" beans, so it was also naturally more nutty and had a richer cocoa flavor.
For the spaghetti, the "Creamy Truffle Spaghetti" had a perfect mixture of cheese, cream, and truffle. None of them takes the spotlight for themselves, and the balancing of the flavors was done well. None of the flavors felt particularly too strong, and had a great mixture to add on to the soft and smooth texture of the spaghetti. For the other spaghetti, I was never a big fan of sour cream, I didn't like to eat sour-flavored food, hence this dish did shocked me for how much I enjoyed it. The dish wasn't too sour, and overall also had a minor cheese flavor too it, along with the long slice of smoked salmon on the top, the sour cream and cheese mixture blended well, and were good flavoring to the well-cooked spaghetti.
Service: 5/5 Local cafĂŠ in Hong Kong are usually known for their inclusiveness and welcoming nature, and Cloud Nine is no different. When I first went here, there were also numoerus tourists asking for directions and even attractions. The staff will freely chat with you and even tell you some tips if you need it, for us, they did tell us the potentially long lines of ACG. The owners of the coffee store also works there, and were also very welcoming with their customers, they also did talk about a bit of background regarding Cloud Nine.
Atmosphere: 4/5 The interior design was great, and it was also air-conditioned well. The only real issue is that it may be a bit confusing if it's your first time coming here, as there's actually two entrances/exits to this cafĂŠ. The one listed on Google Maps if you use their "Pathfinding" is actually the back door, hence the convulated position you need to walk to, while the front door is actually located on the other side of the cafĂŠ, so I suggest walking through the main street. Other than the inconvenient location, the attitude and pleasant tone the employees and employers had allowed for an enjoyable and...
Read moreCame to this interesting cafe in between Wanchai and Causeway Bay. The whole place is themed under Chinese traditional martial arts and boasts to provide more Vegetarian options in their menu. The names for their dishes are all quite punny (if you understand references from Chinese Wuxia novels! 1ď¸âŁ Portobello Pesto Sphaghetti - Overall flavorful and pasta is cooked for the right amount. Just a bit sad that there is only 1 portobello on the whole dish. 2ď¸âŁ Golden Open Toastie - the highlight of the meal! A wonderful combo of golden French toast + caramelized bananas + bacon! A surprising mix of sweet and saltiness, and the toast is soft and not over cooked. 3ď¸âŁ Sesame green tea chiffon cake - We believe the cake is actually from a chiffon cake shop in Yuen Long (not confirmed) but they added their own matcha icing with additional sesame and peanuts topping. The matcha flavoring is definitely very strong and icing is too sweet to my liking. 4ď¸âŁ Coffee - A fancy presentation through a Chinese tea set. Aromatic and not watered down. Overall, happy to find a place with mode Vegetarian options than most restaurants in HK. Will try to come back for other dishes in future!

Read moreCloud Nine Specialty Coffee is a new cafe on Morrison Hill Road in Wan Chai. What makes it different from other cafes in the hood is its Chinese Kung Fu theme.
The monks paintings and wooden furniture in the cafe do give you a feeling of ancient Chinese tea house.
I particularly adore these See-No-Evil, Hear-No-Evil, and Speak-No-Evil little monks at the cashier.

I had two cups of coffee prior visiting Cloud Nine Specialty Coffee, so I just got myself something for an early dinner. This Golden Open Toastie is quite pricey. For HKD$85, I got two medium sized French toast with cheddar cheese, bacon, and caramelized banana on top. A few strands of veggies on the side as âseasonal saladâ.
The cheddar cheese and bacon were ordinary. Oh well, they are always good to go on pancakes and French toasts. However, the caramelized banana and maple syrup caught me off guard. It was kinda weird to have these sweet toppings with the savory French toasts, so I ended up eating the caramelized banana on its ownâŚThe whole dish was quite good and reasonably filling. Yet, it didnât worth...
