BOGU Pets Grooming & Coffee — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

This is a nice place to chill while watching your pets being cleaned in the grooming area. 👍🏾

The cafe is divided into 2 separate areas.

1. For normal dining (regular cutlery)
2. For customers with pets where you can see clearly your pets inside the grooming area. (Disposable cutlery + self serve)

We were at the self-serve area with pets since I took my cat here for the basic grooming service. I even bought the package because I think it’s comparable cheaper with such a spacious grooming area. There will be the most 2 pets inside.

The food and coffee were okay, the avocado I had was a bit raw- not soft enough.

👍🏾 large window where you can watch your pets from outside and inside. 👍🏾 Even though there’re few dogs, there were no smell at all.

👎🏻 The 2 areas are not connected, even though there’s a huge glass in between. You will have to walk out from the self-serve area and go to access the normal dinning area on the other side to get your food. It’s quite trouble if you have to carry your food and open the door at the same time.

But I would still come back as I like how spacious it is and the grooming...

A hidden gem in the neighborhood of Tai Hang.

There are 2 seating spaces - one for pets and their owners, and a space for non-pet diners. The spaces are completely separate to cater to the needs of both diners.

However, pet owners literally have to enter the non-pet space to order and collect their meals. This is only a hassle if pets have separation anxiety and can’t be left in the pet space on their own.

Please also take caution with the entrance to the pet space - it’s not well designed as the space between the entrance and pet gate are so close together that it’s difficult to get in and out with your pets and meal trays. The door is also overly heavy to push all the way through!

On the positive side, there is excellent natural light and WiFi for people who want to work/dine with pets by their sides, or wait for their pets as they’re being groomed. Food is reasonably priced with a good selection for vegetarians. There’s also a cute pet dining menu, including the popular...

Food was fair but VERY BAD SERVICE.

I visited BOGU Cafe and had an incredibly negative experience. I ordered a flat white, but unfortunately, the staff mistook my order for a 'Dirty' without double-checking with me. When I received my drinks and realized they were incorrect, I politely requested to have them exchanged and to receive a refund.

To my surprise, one of the staff members responded by asking her colleague who took my order, "You heard this lady ordered Dirty, right?" I was deeply offended by the insinuation that I had made a mistake with my order. I made it clear that I had indeed ordered a flat white, not a 'Dirty.' Instead of taking responsibility for the error, the staff member's attitude was unprofessional and dismissive. I was treated with a lack of respect, which left me feeling frustrated and disheartened. Will never visit...
