Hang Heung Bakery Cafe — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

We weren't impressed with their baking last year and swear that we will not be coming back. But, fate has it's own ways. On our way for our ritual yearly visit to Sincere Department store this afternoon, it started to rain, so we come into Hang Heung to have some drinks and dessert, hoping for the rain to stop soon. Ordered one each of "Lo Por Bang" (a wife cake), and "Darn Wong So"(salted duck egg yolk puff pastry), to accompany our hot lemon tea and Hong Kong style coffee and tea. Both drinks are normal, however even the freshness in them had not changed my opinion from my last visit 12 months ago on the wife cake, because I can not taste any winter melon paste in them as they should have. The duck egg yolk pastry was okay but not something that you can brag home about. Tea and coffee are normal. A so so experience once again, but for $54 and got us out of the rain for half a hour or so...

Hang Heung is famous among Hong Kong people as a Chinese bakery, now enter the cafe/restaurant business. This cafe is newly opened in Sheung Wan area. Their menus are similar to other Hong Kong style cafe, serving breaskfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.
