Shocking Racial Mockery & Unprofessional Behavior at Hungry Korean CWB

Avoid this place if you value basic respect.

I ordered in fluent Cantonese at Hungry Korean (Causeway Bay), but the local male cashier pretended not to understand until I pointed to the menu. He then suddenly switched to mocking Mandarin with exaggerated “er” accents, mumbling “dabao-er!” (打包儿) repeatedly and even yelling “fuwuyuan-er!” (服务员儿) across the restaurant — words I never used.

When served, he made a funny face and sneered “ni hao-er!” (你好儿). Later, he demanded cash payment in broken English (despite the working Octopus machine) and stared aggressively at me for 10+ seconds twice during my call with my friend (cuz I was scared).

⚠️ Warning: Multiple Google reviews mention similar attitude toward customers. The cashier’s racial insensitivity (mocking accents) and intimidation tactics (staring, erratic behavior) are unacceptable. Not just me: While I was dining, he argued with another customer over the phone, openly bragging: “I’ve been here for years. Customers keep complaining about my attitude, but I treat everyone the same. Don’t expect me to say ‘please’ （唔该）or ‘sorry’.” 😅

A disgrace to Korean food that is known with its rich flavor. I can tell that this resto has no Korean chef or at least they dont try to dig in to match standard korean food taste and quality. This is rather an instant korean restaurant..

Also the staffs are not friendly! Their plum drink is way too sweet almost like port wine, i asked for water to be added to neutralize the sweetness a lil, they said they cant.

They dont serve water FYI. You need to order their drinks starting from $12. If youre craving for delicious korean dish especially for dinner, this is TRULY...

The food is okay, the price is reasonable, the place is enough for 12 till 18 people to dinning in, before they offering bancan and soup for lunch now need to add 17$ for 3 bancan( side dishes), the staffs some friendly some careless to customers, clean and complete with hand sanitizer, temperature check and leave home safe when dinning in, not far from SoGo Causeway Bay, tram, bus and MTR station, close to...
