Long time no met my friend and she went all the way to Wan Chai to have lunch with me. . I ordered Toripaitan Ramen, which consisted of slow-braised chashu, slow-braised chicken, soft boiled egg, seaweed, green onion, bamboo shoot, pea sprouts, red bell pepper and ramen. The chicken broth was rich and creamy, and the yolk of the soft boiled egg was right on point runny. The texture of the ramen was thin. The chashu and chicken were quite meaty, so I got fuller than I expected.
She got Premium Tokyo Mazesoba, which included slow-braised chashu, raw egg yolk, spicy minced meat, soft boiled egg, seaweed, green onion, chives, bamboo shoot, seaweed flakes, minced garlic, grinded saba fish and multi-grain noodle. Not sure about the flavour, but the portion did look huge. The resto gave out some instructions on how one shd mix the noodles with the ingredients and sauce. . Quite a popular resto so one needs to line up earlier in order to get the seats. The place was bright and looked decent, so it was comfy to have meals there. It was quite...

The rest of the bowl were fair, nothing really impressive. Upon finishing the noodles you have to request the rice yourself or they’d just tidy up your table. The rice given for the remaining sauce is around 2 tablespoons or less.
•Torip Aitan (Chicken soup) Ramen - Our favourite part of this dish was the soup, it was thick and flavourful. Although it could be better as it was a bit too salty and get even more so towards the end. The texture of the noodle is also good.
•Yuzu icecream - the milk flavour was much stronger than the yuzu flavour. It was not bad but if the yuzu flavour could be more prominent, then the whole dessert would be more refreshing.
Overall okay. Revisit?- maybe Recommend?- maybe, it worths trying...
Read moreFirst time eating mazesoba and it was good impression! Adding the kelp vinegar at the end cleanses your palette and gives you the appetite to finish the entire bowl. Be sure to get the rice at the end to soak up all the meaty saucy goodness!
Weekday lunch time was pretty busy ~40 min wait. Restaurant capacity was ~30 ppl. It was really busy for them considering it is still soft opening but the staff were really attentive and accommodating. They took our order before we sat down so that we wouldn't have to wait too long for our food. They were also very informative about the steps to eat the mazesoba. Will definitely come here again!
Not the restaurant's problem but note to somw people today... If you're coming as a big group please be considerate and wait together and not have one person line up beforehand. Seating is limited and is first come...
