Both the long queue outside the shop and the Instagram advert really attracted me to visit this place with high expectations. The queue today is not super long and the waiting time is justified (probably around 5 minutes), especially when the food quality is taken into consideration as reviewed below. I ordered beef bone broth noodles set with pork dumplings. The food is served timely with turnip and cabbage kimchi on the side. The beef bone soup is visually salivating and smells delicious. The bowl of noodles comes with Korean spring onion toppings and egg strips. The soup is rich but it is worth noting that it is on the salty side. The amount of beef is generous and it is properly cooked. However, if you are coming for the noodles like I do, I have to be honest that I am a little disappointed. Although it is definitely handmade, i.e. cut from a flat thin slab of wheat dough (thus the name 칼국수), as you can tell from the shape of the noodles, it is not chewy enough. Either it is overcooked or the dough is not worked properly. For the pork dumplings, to be honest, I do not expect them to make these on their own, but the steaming is underdone. You can see from my attached pictures that the dumpling wrapper is undercooked with an obvious thickness of white dough. Moreover, they are not hot enough with insufficient stuffing. They may consider choosing a different brand of Korean mandu and control the timing of steaming (coz the dumplings are said to be overcooked in some other reviews). Personally I would give it a 2nd chance and try out the clams noodles, and see how it compares with the ones I had in...

My visit to “Seoul Noodles” restaurant was a disappointing experience overall. The food was mediocre; both the flavor profiles and the freshness of the ingredients fell far short of expectations. Many classic Korean dishes, such as galbitang (beef short rib soup), yukgaejang (spicy beef soup with rice), and side dishes like kimchi, were noticeably bland and lacked the aroma and depth of flavor one would anticipate. Some dishes even tasted overly mild, without the rich, hearty quality typically associated with Korean cuisine, giving the impression that the cooking techniques were rather rough and unrefined. This resulted in a significant gap compared to the traditional Korean culinary emphasis on flavor balance.

What was even more surprising was the restaurant’s high online ratings, which were clearly inconsistent with the actual dining experience. It is speculated that the favorable reviews might be due to the restaurant’s stylish décor or the staff’s friendly service, but purely in terms of food quality, it certainly does not justify such high scores.

Overall, for those seeking an authentic Korean culinary experience, it is unlikely to satisfy more discerning palates. However, if the priority is simply a pleasant atmosphere or a casual gathering spot, it may still be a...

It is the worst Korean food place I have ever been to in HK.

First of all, no system for lining up. The staff tells you to split the line in half but the newcomers don't know about it, they cut the line.

There is no AC inside so the shop is packed with 40 customers and loads of staff.

When I am on my way out, they stop serving but do not tell the lady who has lined up for 10-15 min already. When one staff simply tells her "we closed" without any explanation. The lady is upset and talk loudly but the staffs yell at her. Isn't the shop responsible to tell customer nicely that they are closing or even put a staff outside to stop the queue????

The noodles are awful, just saltiness for both bowls of soup we ordered. I ordered clam noodles, just saltiness, no umami at all. The little kimbap is either undercooked or overnight left over because the rice is hard and crunchy.

The dumplings are also a disaster. As you can see from the photo, why would there be bubbles rushing out like vomit. The stuffing inside is too minced, nothing to chew. Suitable for elderly with no teeth.

It has been two hours since I ate but I am still very very thirsty.

Not recommended even though there is always...
