Panda & Son — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

I honestly do not understand how they got such great reviews. I normally use Google reviews to help me decide on a place to dine at and found myself at Panda & Son for dinner. I guess you cannot expect too much from a restaurant that has both pizzas and dumplings on a menu but I was somehow still disappointed. Dumpling were definitely frozen, and were warm (at best) in the center, pizza was alright but definitely not worth the price. Pasta was very very mediocre. If you are a Hong Kong resident, there are other western restaurants in Sheung Wan/Sai Ying Pun that can satiate that craving. If you are a tourist, this is not a meal worth wasting with your...

The food in this restaurant is insanely good and at a reasonable price, the food service is excellent too, the waitress was so sweet and helpful! The meals i tried are the Carbonara spaghetti and the Truffle french fries. The spaghetti was perfectly al dente, creamy and filling and the amount given was perfect! The truffle french fries were delicious and mouth-watering, it was so crunchy and the truffle sauce was incredibly tasty. Also drank the fruit punch but unfortunately didn’t take a photo of that, but it was so delightful! Loved the orange as a decoration on top, it was very flavourful! 10/10 would recommend to everyone...

A very good brunch spot, with friendly staff having amazing services. The had lunch set that includes the starter, mains, desert and beverages with a reasonable price.

The penny Bolognese is very rich in flavour. You could tell that the minced beef is fresh and chewy, while the pasta is nicely cooked with the texture. Overall, very good and satisfying dish.
