Worst first and last experience ever and the food made me sick! The staff is rude, incompetent, and understaffed. DO NOT COME HERE for the following reasons: 1) They did not adhere to hours posted. Came here on a Saturday to find everything locked up despite their sign saying it was open and me calling in to double check. The lady on the phone told me to hold on since they’re probably on break. 5 mins later, a guy walks to the door, opens it, takes my order, and makes my food. Doesn’t say a word about being locked up despite being “open.” I get if the employee needed a break, but there was no indication of when they’d be back and they didn’t have another person working there with them. 2) Difficult communication. The whole interaction with the only man working there at the time was difficult. He didn’t understand anything, despite me repeating myself, projecting my voice more in a clear and clam manner after each time, and trying in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. He seemed to have trouble managing standard interactions and tasks and there was no one else there with him. 3) I got sick; this place is not that clean. The man also had a visible skin condition which made his skin dry and flakey. He wasn’t wearing a hairnet. He didn’t wash his hands before preparing the food. I was a bit concerned at that point, but I saw him wear gloves, I have eaten at more questionable places in HK, and the ratings here were high so I thought it was fine. It was not. I got sick to my stomach shortly after. It couldn’t have been anything else I ate since that’s the first time I ate that day. 4) Rude upper management/owners. As the man was making my food, a lady (different from the one on the phone) comes in. Without making any comments like “sorry for the inconvenience,” she asked me whether or not the man was there when I got there, since she had to race to get there, to which I politely told her no. Without saying another word, she rolls her eyes and huffs off somewhere outside the restaurant never to be seen again. 5) Subpar food. I got their signature pork Bahn Mi, which one would’ve thought they know how to do best. The meat was under-seasoned to the point where I thought they forgot to add it. The slices were cold and white as paper while the pate was average. Only nice things was that the bread was crispy and the carrots and radish were nice. If this was their best, I don’t want it. To sum it up, my experience here at best inconvenienced me because I had to wait and had low quality interactions with the people who worked there and at worst got me sick (it’s been 7 hours since I’ve eaten there and I’m still managing my symptoms). I was disappointed since this place was so hyped up and I was excited to try. Even if this was a one off, I will never come back again. I repeat my advice: DO NOT COME HERE. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. To say there are much better places to spend your time and money is a huge understatement. STAY AWAY.

After trying a couple of the most recommended Bánh Mì's in Hong Kong, this is the place I visit again and again. The team behind Soho Bánh Mì are passionate about the food they produce and have pride in what they put together. This shows through in the taste and quality of their food. Everything down to the plates they use and the branding is well designed and top notch too. In the first weeks that they opened they asked customers if anything needed to be tweaked and listened to any suggestions they had- showing how much they care about customer satisfaction. The roast pork, páte and pickled veggies are all made in-house with their own recipes and you can taste the freshness and the tlc that goes into them. The bread is delivered daily by a local baker and the crunch is fantastic. I can wholeheartedly recommend the signature bánh mì and the Vietnamese iced coffee. The summer rolls are also brilliant- the home made peanut sauce that comes with them is also incredibly tasty! They occasionally have daily specials on the menu too which I keep saying I'll try but the signature bánh mì is so good its always a tough choice not to order it. A massive thumbs up to the Soho Bánh Mì, well done! (p.s. the team are also super friendly and will welcome you with a smile before serving you some brilliant food)

If you're looking for a delicious and authentic Vietnamese cuisine, look no further than Soho Banh Mi. Recently relocated to 1/F of The Center, this restaurant is an absolute gem! The menu at Soho Bahn Mi is full of delicious options, from classic bahn mi sandwiches to delectable bún salad and their daily dishes which changes daily presenting a great variety of choices every-time! Each dish is bursting with flavor and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The bahn mi sandwiches are particularly noteworthy - the bread is crusty and chewy, and the fillings are perfectly balanced. You can ask for extra coriander if you like ! And ask for avocado in your chicken bahn mi ! In addition to the amazing food, Soho Bahn Mi has a great atmosphere. The restaurant is cozy and inviting, and it's the perfect place to enjoy a quick meal with friends or date. And if you're in a rush, the restaurant also offers takeout options! Overall, I can't recommend Soho Bahn Mi enough. If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese cuisine that's full of flavor and made with care, this is the place to go. Don't hesitate to check out their new location at The Center - you won't be disappointed!
