Wanted to come here since opening but TBH a lil disappointed.
The prices alright, considering you are paying for the location in Soho
Food is average only. Portions were good. Not bad but not great.
They don't give the regular banchan you'd not only get that other Korean restaurants. We only got kimchi because I asked for it.
Ordered the spicy squid and pork belly, It was not really spicy and overall quite sweet. Flavor is okay but nothing too crazy. The side vegetable for wrapping, is also just lettuce unlike other Korean restaurants where they have sesame leaves or other kinds of veggy.
Kimchi pancake was not bad, average
Ramen fried rice tasted only average, The idea is more for gimmick.
The Sojus seem bit exp. But we didn't order and we didn't try any of the special soju high balls.
Staff was really nice and friendly. but the store was WAY TOO Loud. Music was loud, ppl were loud, the ceilings were quite low so doesn't help there. We had to shout to talk
A general it was average , but don't think I'll be coming...
Read moreDeducting 1 whole star because at the end of the meal we were told the restaurant does not give boxes to let you take away leftovers. I don't understand this policy: we had plenty of food left which we wanted to keep and not waste we had paid for that food (it's not exactly cheap) I can't remember ever being in a restaurant that didn't provide a takeaway box. Consider changing this policy please!
Food: We ordered the pork/seafood grill which came with lettuce and samjang, very tasty the fried chicken sidedish was good, would have preferred soy flavoured chicken but still not bad the fried rice (bokkum bap) was great the seafood pancake was also great ordered a side of kimchi: it was quite fresh/sour, would have preffered if it was left to marinate for longer to acquire that stronger taste.
Service: our server was helpful and did her best to make us feel comfortable brought cleaning tissues & sides of kimchi when we asked, very responsive...
Read moreDinner here one time, my friend, worried that I might be hungry, brought a small snack along. We were eating the snack in the restaurant while looking at the menu, chatting, and preparing to order. The waitress came over and, in a unfriendly and somewhat warning tone, told us that outside food is not allowed here. She said we should either go outside to eat it or put it away in our bags.
I fully understand that it’s against the rules to eat outside food in the restaurant. But can’t such a rule be communicated in a normal tone? ? I was really shocked that she used such a tone and attitude to inform us of this rule.
We were just two friends catching up, choosing this place to have dinner and enjoy a pleasant evening together.
COME ON, DONT BE THAT SERIOUS. Relax a bit and enjoy...
