Came with high expectations after reading reviews. Left kind of confused on how it got such positive reviews after having mediocre service and below average food.

Oyster pancake We had this as a starter. It was soggy on arrival. Only around 4 small pieces of oysters. Raw and uncooked onions which made the dish taste just solely of raw onion. I don't know how you can serve this to your customers. Anyone with knowledge of cooking wouldn't have made something so vile.

Beef pho with bone marrow. Taste of the broth was salty but not bad. The finely chopped herbs and cilantro over powered the taste of the soup. Not a good pairing. Bone marrow was tasty. The beef is advertised as wagyu but I am highly skeptical, the texture was rough and it was hard to chew. They did not use the traditional rice vermicelli noodles instead opted for wider but tougher noodles that made the texture not too good. A change of noodles would have made the dish better. And a bigger portion of noodles would have been nice since this one bowl cost over a$200.

Bun Thit Nuong This was probably the best thing. It was okay and the lamb add on tasted good. Price to portion ratio was good.

Service The lady serve was polite and wasn't bad. The male server or maybe manager? Was quite rude. He was quite loud and his voice would interrupt many table's conversations. He randomly came up to our table and loudly interrupted our conversation to say "what name is your reservation under?" We were already seated and we ordered. He didn't say "sorry" or "excuse me" and it was errupt and rude.

The decor and atmosphere was nice, not sure if it's left over from the last restaurant that was here. Food was a let down though and don't think we...

I recently dined at MAMTOM, located at Wing On Plaza in Tsim Sha Tsui, and it was an exceptional experience. The restaurant offers a vibrant ambiance with attentive service that made our visit truly enjoyable.

Pho Bo Beef The highlight of the meal was the Pho Bo Beef. The broth, slow-cooked for 24 hours, was incredibly rich and flavorful. The addition of roasted bone marrow elevated the dish, making it unforgettable.

Steamed Red Snapper This dish was a delightful surprise. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the spicy Thai garlic chili and lemongrass added a wonderful kick.

DIY Wraps The DIY platter was fun and refreshing. With lettuce, Vietnamese herbs, pineapple, cucumbers, and pickled green papaya and carrots, it was a fresh and interactive experience.

Morning Glory Stir-fried with garlic and chili, the Morning Glory (watercress) was a simple yet delicious side that complemented the meal well.

Durian Sticky Rice & Coconut Sundae For dessert, we tried the Durian Sticky Rice & Coconut Sundae. It was a unique blend of flavors and textures, perfect for durian lovers.

Citrus Splash & Mamtom Cooler The Citrus Splash, with galangal, calamansi, mint, and soda, was refreshing. The Mamtom Cooler, with homemade lime cordial and lemongrass, was equally delightful and a perfect way to cleanse the palate.

Overall, MAMTOM delivered an outstanding dining experience with its flavorful dishes and excellent service. I highly recommend visiting for a taste of creative...

Food: 🍱 Spicy Fried Chicken Wings $118-[8/10]-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ -Bold flavor with a crispy coating; juicy meat with a fiery seasoning. May be too crispy for some.

Fried Chicken Spring Rolls $128-[9/10]-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ -Crispy rolls filled with tender chicken and fresh veggies, paired with a tangy dipping sauce.

Grilled Ga Nuong Skewer $118-[9/10]-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ -Smoky, marinated chicken with a charred exterior and juicy inside. A must-try!

Pho Bo Beef with Roasted Bone Marrow $213-[7/10]-⭐️⭐️⭐️ -Rich beef broth with umami from roasted marrow and tender beef. Missing chili was a letdown.

Satisfying Stomach During a Sunday lunch at Mamtom in Hong Kong, I savored a delightful Southeast Asian meal that balanced bold flavors with refreshing touches. Here’s my take on the dishes: Lamb Malaysian Satay ($138): Juicy grilled lamb skewers with a creamy, flavorful peanut sauce, paired with crisp cucumber, onion, and pineapple for a perfect balance. Grilled Ga Nuong ($128): A small but aromatic chicken appetizer, infused with lemongrass, garlic, and herbs. Bursting with flavor, though I wished for a slightly larger portion. Pad See Ew ($148): Wok-fried flat noodles with a generous mix of chicken, egg, and gai lan. The smoky wok hei and crunchy gai lan made it a standout. Baby Gai Lan ($68): Simple, crisp and well-seasoned — great alongside the bolder dishes. Durian Sticky Rice & Coconut Sundae ($118): Chewy durian paste over sticky rice, topped with creamy coconut. An indulgent dessert for durian fans. Coconut Smoothie ($68) & Emerald Pandan Cooler ($68): The smoothie was light and not too sweet, while the pandan cooler, with coconut water, pineapple, and calamansi, was a refreshing tropical delight. Verdict: Mamtom offers a vibrant, flavorful Southeast Asian experience that does not leave you thirsty, thanks to its refreshing sides and drinks. Perfect for locals and visitors alike, it’s a great spot for a casual, satisfying meal. I will be back!
