Mikasaya Sushi Restaurant — Restaurant in Hong Kong

Chef Motoyama is the reason we keep coming back. We’ve been patrons of his since the first iteration of Mikasaya in TST and have followed him throughout the years to this current iteration. I honestly feel that Mikasaya offers the best value omakase sushi experience in town. We came on a random weekday for lunch. The lunch omakase is $698/person with is a steal in this town given the quality of the food. Atmosphere is warm and inviting, like eating in someone’s own dining room.

The sushi was fresh and flavors were on point from start to finish. On this particular day, the dessert was a homemade strawberry ice cream sandwich by Chef himself. Delicious!

Very satisfying lunch and happy customers again.

the dinner was good- the aftermath worse- I woke up in the morning with stomach problems and vomited . I called the restaurant to let them know and told them since we spent 2500 hkd for dinner a discount off what was paid would be in duty. They called me back later to tell me they spoke with manager and would pay my "hospital"bills but nothing else. I told them luckily I didn't need to be hospitalised but they didn't seem to to care. what apparently was high quality sushi turned into a gastro...

Absolutely loved it! The food was amazing, super fresh sushi, really tasty, and honestly felt just like something you’d get in a great spot in Tokyo. Everything was beautifully presented and just felt really authentic. The place itself is super cozy, and to top it off the prices were way better than most similar places in Hong Kong.
