Really disappointed with my experience at this hotpot restaurant. As a local customer, I felt completely ignored from the moment I walked in. The lady boss didn’t acknowledge me at all, even though I entered before another customer (who was clearly not local). She greeted them instead, while acting like I didn’t even exist.
To make it worse, she seated us at a cramped corner surrounded by other tables, even though there was a much better table clearly vacant. It felt intentional and unwelcoming.
Before we left, I even heard her loudly ask a staff member if we had paid — as if we might try to leave without doing so. That was incredibly rude and unnecessary. Just because we don’t speak Mandarin or spend as much as others doesn’t mean we deserve to be treated like second-class customers.
