Big fresh prawn wanton! Noodle is exactly the HK wanton mee texture that I like. Could not finish the small portion even, beef is tender soft juicy kind.. could i say its typical wanton noodle shop by the road side from the HK drama we used to watched?! Tiny shop and we took the bar style seat outside the shop at the beginning (or end) of the alley by the road side. We did not know how to order when we walked in and we were like er.. this.. eh... THEN.. then the lady shouted "you think slowly 1st la" (typical HK style) then i quickly told her we dont know how to order not that we're not sure what to order in Cantonese.. And her attitude changed 180° and explained to us =) thank you for understanding.. 1st meal in HK after more than 20 years, good choice!

One of the many typical tiny weeny street side food outlets in Mongkok area. This one just serves wantan noodle, beef noodles and fish ball noodles. At least the hygiene outlook of this place is much better and came recommended by a local. There are only 3 small tables inside together with the micro cooking area. But what they lack in physical size, is made up by the size of their wantans here, which were big and plumb with fresh prawns. The wantan noodles were nicely textured and had a springy chew to it. As typical of these days to day eateries in Hong kong, customers just pop in throughout the day, sit on any vacant stools , order, eat up fast, pay and leave, many a times missed out on the appreciation of the simple yet delicious local street food.

Authentic HK style wonton noodles in a small shop that can fit at most 10 pax inside. No English menu, so it’s the kind of place where you just have to trust other reviewers’ photos and pray for the best. The soup’s very tasty, even more so with the chilli oil topped with juicy & generous sized prawn wontons. For HKD34/serve, it’s hard to say no to second bowl.
