A while ago I got addicted to the Wagyu sando so I decided to go and try everywhere that has it.

Maruju Aburi Farm has it so decided to go there one evening.

This branch specializes in Wagyu beef and they have two other branches in Kwaihing and Mongkok which serves a slightly similar menu.

On every table, there is a classy little glass bottle of lemon juice which you can add to your food.

I had in mind what to eat but the pandan coconut frappe came as a surprise, firstly I didn't expect to see this on a Japanese menu and secondly it was so good.

There were so many items to choose from so ordered beef sausages, wagyu beef sando and eel Tamagoyaki egg rolls.

+++++++++++

Tamagoyaki egg rolls:

These egg rolls were soft and delicate with sweet eel in the middle.

+++++++++++

Maruju Farm Beef Sausage:

These beef sausages certainly gave me a surprise in the sense that they were softer than you would expect and they contains herbs in them which make them taste like English pork sausages.

Definitely the best beef sausages and they didn't contain any of gristle.

+++++++++++

As well as beef, I love chicken so we had the Chicken Feast where they use chickens from the South Iwate Prefecture.

On there platter, there was chicken wings, thigh, breast, breast cartilage and skin.

Four chickens are needed for the breast cartilage skewer as you only get one piece of breast cartilage per chicken.

My favourites were the thigh and wings.

Adding the fresh lemon and the lemon from the glass bottle made it more appetizing.

+++++++++++

Premium Whole Wagyu Beef Platter 2 Pcs ($580)

This was a really good way of sampling the Australian Wagyu Beef which is clearly labelled and for each different cut, you get 2 slices.

On the platter, there was Tri-tip, Sirloin, Oyster Blade, Tongue, Brisket, Shank, Rump, Top-round and Outside Skirt.

Evidently I liked the Top-Round and Outside Skirt which is meatier and tasty.

++++++

Now to the Wagyu toast:

The toast was extremely thin and crispy so when you eat it the beef is more prominent but saying that the sauce they used was sweet and spicy and tasted like concoction of spicy siracha + burger sauce.

The Wagyu in the middle was meaty and tender.

++++++

Overall, I was really impressed with everything especially...

They got a promotion recently that if you take a photo and share on facebook or instagram, you got a half price wagyu set.

I and my friends 4 of us ordered it, but their quality was way below our expectation. Our mind were blown in the way that we cant imagine how they can made wagyu into something that bad.

We just made it medium rare, but the meat were so chewy, dry and without the taste of beef. We thought they just gave you some cheap meat and pretend to be something high quality, marketing huh.

Another signature dish of them was the wagyu sandwich. It was so cold, seems like leftovers, not prepared for orders. You can see some fat mable on the meat from my photo, but when you took a bite, it was like you are chewing thin meat, plus it was cold, you dun want to take a second bite.

Highly not recommended personally. Didnt expect this quality with such an expensive price. Save your money to go...

Been here for lunch a few times. Nice food with below than average customer service. Went to get a table at 1:45. Had to stand in front of the reception for 5 minutes before any servicer ever noticed me. And after I told her if I can get a table for 1, she asked me to wait outside since they were cleaning up tables and didn’t even give me temp check (while apparently there were empty tables everywhere) Waited for another 5 minutes until I got impatient and directly walked in to see if I can sit on one of the empty tables. She just told me to keep waiting. Totally nonsense!! And also for one time, the servicer just skipped me for the complimentary drink that came tgt with lunch set after he discovered that i didn’t...

Good food. I don't normally like udon and don't eat beef, but my partner ordered the beef udon and it smelled so good I had to try it. Nice sesame flavor, not seafood-based. Garlic chips edamame was good too. I do think it's a bit overpriced. And the waitress who took our order messed up a few things (switched the quantity of two dishes and put in the wrong version of another even though she had confirmed it with us). But we were really impressed by another waiter named Kelvin who served us. He was very polite and attentive, clearly cared about doing a good job. If the boss is reading this, give that waiter a raise!
