QUE (MOKO) — Restaurant in Kowloon

We chose this restaurant to see out the outgoing year. The place looked atmospheric, the menu had special dishes for Christmas and New Year and in general the menu sounded interesting. We ordered a set for two. All the food except for the main course looked good and was tasty. The main course, which was rice with wagyu beef, was just nothing. Tasteless rice, not cooked very well and the meat, which tastes great everywhere - here it turned out to be just tasteless. Very disappointing.

But this is all one side of the coin. I don’t know what exactly was in the taco sushi that I chose for myself, but I got damn bad food poisoning from it. Of course, I can’t say for sure which dish from the set it was, but my husband and I ate all the other dishes equally, and only the taco sushi was different for us. As a result, the next morning my husband feels great, and I get the worst foodborne illness in my life, which was very bad. I thought I wouldn't make it to next morning, honestly D:

So what was wrong with your products that I got so poisoned? I can explain in advance that I didn't eat anything except coffee and a bun for late breakfast. And yes, I'm not allergic to any products.

What a delightful discovery Que turned out to be! From the moment we stepped through the door, the warm, friendly staff made us feel right at home in this charming, pet-friendly establishment.

For our dinner, we opted to sample several of Que's specialty set lunch dishes, and each one exceeded our expectations. The grilled eel taco was a revelation, with its perfectly balanced sweet and savory flavors complemented by the soft, pillowy taco shell. The softshell crab taco was equally impressive, the delicate crunch of the crab pairing beautifully with the fresh, flavorful accoutrements.

But the real star of the meal was the minced tuna donburi - tender, flavor-packed tuna atop a bed of impeccably prepared rice. It was a masterful fusion of Japanese and global influences, resulting in a dish that was both comforting and utterly crave-worthy.

At around $500 for the two of us, the set lunch menu represented an incredible value, offering generous portions of these high-quality, expertly prepared dishes. We left Que feeling satisfied, impressed, and eager to return for another taste of their exceptional Japanese...

The meal was a pleasant surprise. We had the two-person set, and I really liked the yellowfin tuna and yuzu salad😋 The beef in the udon soup was excellent😋 and the cat ear pasta was quite special👍🏻 The only downside was that the service was a bit slow; we were supposed to watch a movie at 8 PM, but we ran out of time. However, taking our time to eat helped with digestion! 😂

Also, there was a very attentive waiter named Bryan, who was responsible for the tables near the entrance. He’s a smart boy with glasses, and he could tell what we needed without us saying a word.
