This is a Pacific Coffee (PC) branch on the ground floor of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre (HKCC) along the TST Promenade.
I found myself stuck at HKCC during a recent downpour and decided to have an espresso while waiting for the rains to stop. Generally speaking, I'm not a big fan PC but had some time to kill while waiting for the rains to die down so thought what the heck and ordered an espresso here.
Unfortunately, what I was served was not good at all. The espresso very bitter, highly acidic with a burnt taste. It was difficult to finish. Next time, I'll stick to what I've known for many years, go with white and dessert style coffees at Pacific Coffee, these are considerably more palatable. Read moreI was very happy to find this coffee shop. I suspect thousands of tourists (and possibly locals) walk past daily without realizing it's there. it's inside the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. I had trouble finding it with Google Maps the first time. It's inside the vast lobby, close to the harbour promenade side but except for a small portable sign there is no indication it's there. I personally think this is great. If there isn't an event happening the lobby is virtually empty. On my visits it was not crowded, service is excellent and the americano was among the best I've had anywhere. There are lots of good coffee shops in Hong Kong.
