Cats Tea Room was such a respite after a day walking around busy busy HK. Honestly, could just sit there all day enjoying the quiet and cozy comfort of the place. I definitely could have napped there along with the lazy cats.
The tea room is clean and comforting, well-lit, full of different types and heights of soft chairs and tables, so you can choose your own space and really feel at home. I was thinking I could even work there as there are plugs for chargers. Since there would be sleeping cats, people stay hushed. And no obtrusive piped-in music too. It feels more like a cat library, but no strict librarian standing watch keeping you from playing with the cats.
We were lucky enough that one of the cats took a liking to us and stayed on our laps. Most of them just stake out their own space, nap, some play with customers, or just roam around. I was surprised by how many cats there were, more than enough for the different patrons to fawn over, observe from afar, or coax over.
The cafe has different toys so you can try to play with the cats. You can also order cat food or treats if you reeeeally want them to like you. There is a short menu of coffee and tea drinks, and some cookies, for humans too.
We arrived without advanced booking on a weekend night, so we were glad they could accommodate us. There is a hallway where you take off your shoes and store them in a shoe cabinet. Paper slippers are provided and a plastic bag to cover any of your belongings.
You pay a reasonable fee per hour, plus anything you order on top of that. We paid as we exited.
This place is now part of our usual...
Read moreVery cute cat cafe and the staff were kind and friendly!
Going to a cat cafe wasn’t part of our itinerary (we were travelling) but we were glad we made the stop.
We spent an hour here, the atmosphere was relaxing for us. Seeing the cats interact with each other (happened a lot of the times when we were there) and interacting with them (the occasional times they were keen to) were more energising than I thought they’d be.
The staff told us house rules/ info about certain cats to keep in mind before we entered the room, we found these clear and easy to follow. The staff were obviously knowledgeable and familiar with all the cats, we could tell the cats were well looked after.
The place had free chargers/powerbank things for patrons, though we didn’t make use of them. There was also a bathroom available to use that was kept tidy and clean.
We did not order food & drinks from the cafe so can’t comment on the quality of them. However some patrons did and they looked aesthetic and sweet tasting to me.
We learned some of the cats’ names from the staff. There were also tools / toys to play with cats, we got to use these. My favourite was the teaser, would recommend using it to play with the cats. Cats Team Room felt like a calming play room.
Would be keen to come back sometime highly recommend the...
Read moreI can stay here for a full day🐈🍰
The cozy ambiance of the cat cafe instantly envelops you in a purr-fect paradise. The feline residents, each with their unique charm, roam around playfully, adding a delightful touch to the experience. Their friendliness is heartwarming, making the visit truly memorable.
While indulging in a chocolate cheesecake, the flavor was decent but not exceptional. However, the hot red tea and matcha drinks were soothing and well-prepared, complementing the serene atmosphere.
The highlight of the visit remains the cats—adorable, interactive, and clearly well cared for. Watching them frolic and interact with patrons brings a sense of joy and relaxation. For cat lovers seeking a peaceful retreat and some feline company, this cafe is a must-visit. A slight improvement in the dessert selection could elevate the overall experience, but the charming cats steal the...
