Hoi King Heen — Restaurant in Kowloon

This is an exquisite Chinese restaurant serving food with a craft and original taste. The Cantonese restaurant basically designed a lot of special dishes which can only be cooked by skilful cooks with exceptional impressive presentation too. Super rare dish liked marinated water melon, a blend between savoury and sweet, interesting, should try. the braised beef inside pear was hard to cook but beef was very tender but the pear probably given the favour to beef, became plain. Taste wise, would expect more. Same for the winter melon and marinated vegetable inside, it definitely was a photo moment but the taste is very light. This is probably where the original taste came from but would be tiny bit better if it is seasoned a bit. The chinese style meatloaf was quite heavy a dish with an salted egg yolk inside, would be better if they can be served half as an option. The hotpot rice is a must have, scrumptious. Staff are super helpful after all it is inside a hotel. Overall, it is really a great restaurant to capture art of Cantonese cooking. It is relatively pricy restaurant but bearable. Expect a t bit more though. Still, not a bad choice ...

Clam Soup Lovely bit spicy broth. Clams bigger than I expected glorious. Amazing soft texture with warming sea taste. Very good. They chew like good calamari taste way better. It’s subtle delicious difficult to explain. Other to say it’s very good. The broth has a golden hew is spicy and very tasty. As you eat the dish it just gets better and better. Really nice. Steamed Beef Dumplings Very good I can’t put my finger on why. Maybe the subtle spice or the delicate wrapper plus the good quality beef. As I type this the flavour is dancing on my palette. I tried the "Hoi King Heen" few times and I would like to share my dining experience here! The meal was always tasty, your kitchen have done a great job, I especially love the Peking duck and the desserts. And the service was fanatic too, I would love to name Eddie, the Manager for his attentive and wonderful arrangement every time. From the menu to the dining experience, he and his team are always shown "Can-do", "Professional" and "Warm Hospitality" attitude throughout the whole process. I will definitely come again and again!
