Mong Kok Seafood Restaurant in Hong Kong offers a compelling dining experience for seafood lovers seeking authentic Cantonese cuisine.

Fresh and Flavorful Seafood Selection Mong Kok Seafood is praised for its fresh seafood offerings, especially the signature dishes like the Typhoon Shelter Crab set meal. The fried crab, cooked with aromatic garlic, chili, and green onions, delivers a rich and fragrant taste that seafood aficionados will appreciate. This freshness and authentic preparation style differentiate it from more generic seafood eateries, making it a must-try for those who want a genuine taste of Hong Kong’s seafood cuisine.

Variety of Set Menus with Good Value The restaurant offers a variety of set menus that provide a well-rounded meal experience at reasonable value. For example, the Supreme Typhoon Shelter Crab Set for Two is highly recommended for sharing and provides a satisfying combination of flavors and dishes. This approach allows diners to enjoy multiple seafood items without the complexity of ordering à la carte, which is ideal for visitors unfamiliar with local seafood varieties.

Convenient Location and Ambience Located in downtown Mong Kok, the restaurant benefits from excellent accessibility via public transport, which is a big plus in a busy city like Hong Kong. The interior is simple and functional, focusing more on the food than on elaborate decor. While the seating may be limited and the space somewhat modest, this adds to the authentic, no-frills dining atmosphere typical of local seafood joints, appealing to those who prioritize food quality over luxury.

Service and ReservatThe seafood tasted incredibly fresh and the flavors were exquisite. The atmosphere of the restaurant was lively and inviting, creating a pleasant dining experience. The service was attentive and friendly, making us feel...

I was impressed by the freshness of the lobster, but it was unfortunately overshadowed by the heavy spices used, which diminished its potential to be a standout dish. Additionally, I found the pricing to be somewhat steep compared to what was listed on the menu. On a brighter note, the garlic and pepper squid was undoubtedly the best dish of the night—everyone loved it! The clams in taosi were also a highlight of the meal. They were perfectly cooked, with all the clams open and the meat intact, making them easy to enjoy. I also appreciated the broccoli in garlic, which was well-prepared and flavorful. The restaurant had a pleasant ambiance, and I was pleased to find that the staff spoke some English. They were also very helpful in recommending dishes, which added to the overall...

We ordered their specialty typhoon shelter crab which was delicious and fresh. The crab was really sweet and the aroma of fried garlic with chilies was irresistible. The stir fried pea sprouts were a great vegetable choice as it helped cut the fattiness of the crab. We also had the green onion and cilantro steamed fish with soy which was super fresh and the meat was silky. Lastly the scallops with vermicelli and garlic were also fresh like everything else. Price is on the higher side but that's pretty standard for Hong Kong. However, the shop owner and staff were very friendly and provided great service, they even gave our 2y/o son a free chocolate treat when we first walked in. Would definitely recommend coming if you're looking for some...
