The restaurant was super cold the moment we stepped in, so I asked the servers to make the temperature warmer but it seemed like they ignored my request. Honestly I never feel cold as I am pregnant but considering I was dining with a toddler (mentioned in our reservation) they could’ve considered so. My husband and I arrived 15 mins earlier than the booking time but was not even asked if we wanted some drinks to start off with when we settled down. Then when the rest of my family arrived, I ordered a bottle of sparkling water since no one proactively did so. Server asked if I wanted my sparkling water cold, when it arrived it wasn’t even close to it..
Food quality is mediocre considering the price of it. When my brother in law was ordering sides, he clearly asked for GARLIC RICE and the server didn’t even hesitate to let us know they didn’t serve this as she just nodded in agreement when we were placing the orders. Understandably, she might’ve understood it as the garlic shrimp dish you have on your menu. But what was weird was, I loudly asked my brother in law to add an order of Garlic Shrimp to add on for our table as we were seated in a two separate tables… also sever never repeated order back which was disappointing. Food arrived warm, the only food items that were hot was the creamy spinach and mash. Once the Garlic Shrimp arrived, it was terribly BLAND!!! It has no seasoning whatsoever and had to ask for salt, pepper and cheese just to make it edible for me as I was starving! I did mention this to the server but nonetheless, she didn’t seem to care.
Also, now that we’re in a global pandemic, it would be great if you didn’t leave a bunch of cutleries & glassware on the tableside for your guests to self serve as I have observed you don’t change it for the next round of guests anyway.
I could go on and on about our experience but I really don’t leave this kind of reviews. But since I was actually excited to try The Chop House, I just have to. I work in the F&B industry too so I understand how it works. I do hope this review will help you to change the service standards that you provide to your...
Read moreI had an incredible dining experience at the brand new MOOO @mooo_hongkong ! in Tsim Sha Tsui! Known for their high-quality steaks, MOOO! offers a playful twist on dining with their selection of MOOOpas and the larger MOOOfeast menu.
One of the standout dishes was the Slow Cooked Australian Sirloin Claypot Rice. First time having it in western restaurants. The sirloin was perfectly tender, infused with savory flavors, and served atop a bed of fragrant rice that soaked up all the delicious juices with crispy rice as well.
The Bone Marrow & Brisket Wellington was another highlight. The flaky pastry encased a rich filling of succulent brisket and creamy bone marrow, creating a melt-in-your-mouth experience that was both indulgent and satisfying.
I also loved the Satay Beef Langos Fried Bread. This dish featured tender strips of beef marinated in a flavorful satay sauce, served on crispy fried bread that added a delightful crunch. It was the perfect balance of textures and flavors.
For dessert, I couldn’t resist the Matcha Strawberry Rice Cream Tart. This dessert was light and refreshing, with a creamy matcha filling complemented by fresh strawberries, all sitting on a delicate tart crust.
Finally, the Banana Bread Pudding was a delightful end to the meal. It was warm, moist, and packed with the comforting flavors of ripe bananas, served with a drizzle of rich caramel sauce.
The vibrant atmosphere of MOOO! made the experience even better, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a meal with friends. If you’re in Tsim Sha Tsui, don’t miss out on this fantastic dining...
Read moreOverpriced. Bad service. Very bad chef.
It's a shame as the outdoor terrace is very nice but frankly this place is an expensive rip-off. They also have no idea how to treat customers. When we arrived we were told there were no tables. We walked around the terrace anyway and found at least three that weren't reserved. No problem. We ordered our drinks. Sadly the waiter spilled the whole glass of rum and coke over our friend and his bag.
When we ordered the burger, our friend requested that the onions be cooked and not raw. The waiteress said this was an impossible request as that's the burger's recipe. There are cooked onions on other sandwiches but the waitress wasn't budging. We asked for the manager and agreed to ask the chef. The manager returned saying the chef will replace raw onion with cooked onions for an extra 30 dollars (yes, you read write, £3 for a small onion topping to be cooked instead of raw).
This place has a poor attitude and doesn't deserve anyone's custom. We went next door to the German (Czech??) place that had much better staff, cheaper beer and nice food (although the food is...
