Disgusting service ! Over 3000 hkd to buy a bad experience ! The quality of the food is very ordinary , the level that can be achieved by any common restaurant in HK, and it does not show the level of other two-star Michelin restaurants at all. The food is mediocre, but the service is extraordinary. It is worst in the city!! How bleak is the catering industry in Hong Kong? ! Hiring standards are so low! ! Eyes wide shut!

This restaurant is located on the fourth floor, so at the beginning I could only use the disposal glove to press the elevator button for hygiene. After sit in the restaurant, I would like to ask the waitress to take the glove away. But the fat waitress just pretended not to see me and walked away. So I had to put the glove on the chair ! Later, when she was serving the food, because her body was too big to draw the air, no one noticed that the glove fell to the ground. As a result, the fat waitress shouted extremely rudely, what is this? Although she pretended as blindfolded, I believe anyone can tell that this is a disaposal glove! Everyone in Japan's high level hotel use it for breakfast buffet! What's all the fuss about? ! ! The most ridiculous thing is that she also blamed us for throwing it on the ground. If it’s not because she is obese and big, glove will continue to sit on the chair !

Then the grandmother told her not to pick it up , because the grandma was very worried that the waitress would pick up things from the ground and bring up dust. The obese waitress said to grandma in a vicious voice! Do not pick it up? Then pick it up forcibly, and then deliberately hit the plate loudly when serving the meal. It's just a small item dropped in the corner, and it can be picked up after the guest leaves since the request of the guest. Looking at herself in the mirror every day with an obnoxious and obese appearance can be tolerated. I really can't see how snagholic and perfectionist she is! After all, she pretended to be blind the whole working time, just lazy and rude. Even the manager helped us for add waters of tea instead of her!

I really don't understand how a high-end restaurant would hire such a person. Even McDonald's staff are better than her!

As a customer, I like beautiful and delicious food, and at the same time, I also like handsome waiter and beautiful waitress or at least polite and nice waiters. Is this ugly, fat and vicious person hiring to make us unable to eat? ! ?

The manager is nice and keeps apologizing for his colleagues. I really recommend the manager and owner go to visit other Michelin two-star restaurants such as **xuan to see how young and decent the staff are and how great the service is! No wonder other restaurants are fully booked, only this one can be booked at any time, it turns out there is a trap! Before I think it is weird that so many bad reviews from other local guests , how can a two-star store be so bad? Now that I experience it for myself, I understand that bad reviews are all polite! It’s disgusting! I don't know this terrible restaurant how to get two...

Went to have a dim sum lunch. Upon reaching, requested for a booth seat. They arranged one for us shortly within 10mins which we didnt mind as there were comfortable waiting chair and we were just browsing the HK michelin guide.

Was brought to our seats and were greeted by beautiful cutleries. Food came promptly. The har gao was very generous in size but it would be better if the skin was thinner. Other dishes were all done on point and tasty. Others might expect wow factor for michelin restaurants or some fancy twist and elevation of seasonal product but for me, cantonese dim sum are food that is cooked with care and bringing out the taste of the ingredient in a consistently good way and for me, they hit the mark. Siew mai and carrot cake is exactly how it should be and not too greasy or wet from steaming.

The suckling pig was good as a bite size appetiser. The rice flour roll was a good surpise of excellent pairing of texture with crunchy radish within, soft rice flour skin and dough fritter to absorb the light soy sauce. The egg tart was what amazed me the most. Being born cantonese overseas with roots in HK, I never knew what people love about egg tarts. I tried the usual honolulu, tai cheong but nothing. This really got me. I get it now, the soft warm eggy center and the unbelivably flakey layered skin. I will miss this alot.

Ending my meal i ordered the unassuming claypot rice. Just chinese cured meat on rice. Not instagram material but it won my heart. The nostalgia of memory that came to mind when I tasted it. Mixing the oil thst came out of the meat, mixing in the dried bit of rice sticking to the claypot, stirring in the liver sausage and lup yok, it transcents and send you to a simpler time and when good food was exactly what it was, without having to add truffle, uni, marrow or exotic cut of beef to make it standout.

It was just a quick meal on a weekend escape trip to hong kong for me. But it brought me home for that hour. thank you sun tung lok chefs and to the...

The service has dropped a lot compared to when it was rated Michelin 3 stars . Have been to this place many times ( more than twenty times) before it's 3 stars , rated 3 stars and dropped to 2 stars . It seemed that the newer staffs were not trained well by the management to learn how to serve . Even the captains/managers didn't care how to serve well like a Michelin stars rated restaurant waiters . The last time when I invited some guests to dine here in October 2015 , one of my guest dropped the napkin on the floor when she went to the rest room . At least three staffs went past it (lying in the midway of the corridor next to other table ) many times with one even stepped on it but no one picked it up . After my guest was back , I told one of the staff to pick up the napkin and expecting they will change a new one but he just put it back on the table !!! How can this happened in a Michelin stars restaurant ?? This will not happened even in a normal restaurant ! Rediculus ! The whole time , no waiter come voluntary to fill up the teapot even when we put the lid on the top of the teapot or changed the plates and bowls unless they were asked to ! Plates were not changed even when they were full of bones ! Yam Toh Heen , Cuisine Cuisine , Fook Lam Moon Kowloon or Spring Moon restaurants near by supply much better service and food than this one !!! If the service is keeping on like this , it should be...

I had booked the set dinner to celebrate my daughter's birthday. It was my daughter's wish to eat at a Michelin star restaurant. Food was good except there were shells in the crab meat in the soup and the pork in the fish maw, sea cucumber and abalone dish was cold. With being a Michelin star restaurant, I think this is unacceptable. The portions of the dishes were big which is a bit overkill. We had ordered a bottle of wine for dinner but the first two bottles we selected were not available which was a bit disappointed. Service was good overall. Staff were attentive when we first arrived and as the restaurant started to get busy, staff were less attentive. When we were leaving, I was expecting a staff member would send us off with a nice greeting but none of this had taken place. The staff were too busy to say goodbye to us or ask us to come back again.

Sun Tung Lok delivers refined Cantonese cuisine with flair. The baked crab shell was a creamy and packed with crab but lack depth in flavor, the fried stuffed crab claw impressed with its crunchy batter and was huge recommend to share 1 piece amongst 2 people. Shrimp toast was slightly oily for my liking. The prime rib of beef, tender and flavorful, paired perfectly with its savory-sweet sauce, highly recommended! The suckling pig stuffed with shrimp paste was a standout, with crackling skin a must try. The claypot rice was served at your table as the waiter slowly cooks until a crispy base is form, you smell the aroma of the preserved sausage. Nostalgic ambiance and attentive service enhanced the experience.
