I actually experienced the same horrible and unethical business practice as another user here, "willy w". Booked on Agoda weeks before our stay at a reasonable rate and the option was to, "Pay at the Hotel". The cancellation was free until the 19th of April but I had no plans of cancelling. ||I get an email asking to update my credit card so I use my partner's card (the person who'd be staying with me) and Agoda confirmed the booking. A few hours later, I get a request to cancel the booking from the Perkin themselves and I was confused and irritated since I literally just gave them an updated credit card to hold the booking. I emailed them to ask if they needed my partner's details or what the issue was but no response. ||I messaged Agoda to ask if my booking was in fact confirmed and they told me it was and sent me the booking confirmation. I wake up today seeing that while I was asleep that the booking was cancelled by me. Which is impossible because I was asleep when the cancellation occurred. I messaged Agoda and they told me it was actually this hotel that cancelled the booking because the credit card we used to hold the reservation didn't match my name. But it shouldn't have been an issue because we were using my partners credit card and he'd also be staying with me for the booking. I remember seeing their prices surge when they attempted to cancel with me and kept thinking, "They wouldn't possibly be trying to do this because I got a good deal and this is their unethical way of either price gouging or unethically "off-boarding" guests who have a confirmed reservation.." Turns out it was. In my years of making bookings with hotel and even working at the hotel industry, this was the first time I've encountered something like this. Writing this review as a warning to people who make a booking and room rates suddenly increase, they will most likely cancel your booking even if you have a confirmed one. ||To The Perkin Hotel, you should be afraid of the type of karma you're attracting with the unethical business "practices"...

Read moreOur stay at The Perkin Hotel was above our expectations and we will definitely be back. The location is close to the MTR, bus stops and great eateries. To get onto Nathan Road, we walked through Mira Place Shopping Centre to avoid the steep hill or the stairs. Concierge was well mannered and more than happy to help with questions and special requests. We were on the 18th floor, our room was quiet, very clean, very spacious and serviced daily by really well mannered housekeepers who aimed to please. The room comes with a 'Handy' phone which we took everywhere with us to help us get around. The Hotel also has fast wifi. The breakfast items were the same everyday (we found was more than adequate); toast and spreads, pastries, eggs, cereals, yogurts, fruit, juice, deli meat and Starbucks coffee. Although the Hotel does not have a laundry service, we dropped our clothes off to a laundry business which was recommended by concierge, our clothes were delivered to the hotel by the end of the day and price was reasonable. One of the things we really looked forward to coming back everyday was using the shower, not only it is spacious but it had amazing water pressure and was so relaxing. The breakfast area turns into a common area where guests can help themselves to snacks and Starbucks coffee which was an added bonus. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay, the Hotel provided enough homely comforts where we did not feel homesick during our 19 days there. If you are looking at staying in boutique hotels in Tsim Sha Tsui, you should give The...
