Friday Dinner Out – A Pleasant Surprise
Dropped by the restaurant on a Friday evening and was happy to be seated right away — no waiting time needed. The interior layout was quite appealing: spacious, tidy, and well-kept, which made for a comfortable dining atmosphere.
We kicked things off with a Caesar salad. It was pretty average in both taste and portion size — nothing particularly memorable.
For the mains, we ordered a Carbonara pasta and a risotto. The Carbonara was on the softer side, with the pasta breaking apart easily when pressed with a spoon. The egg yolk didn’t really come through in the flavor, but the seasoning was decent overall. A highlight was the bacon — pleasantly smoky and rich, definitely not the cheap, flavorless kind.
The risotto was standard fare — not bad, but it didn’t stand out in any way.
Dessert was a bit of a mixed bag. We tried the caramel French toast. The caramel sauce was well made and flavorful, but the toast itself was slightly disappointing. As for the crème brûlée, it unfortunately missed the mark entirely.
That said, the meal was still quite good value. Considering the quality of ingredients, the pricing was fair and the portions were generous enough to leave us full. If anything, the desserts felt a little less worth it compared to the rest of the meal.
A final shoutout goes to the staff — the service was excellent, friendly, and attentive. That definitely added to the overall...

Ordered a urchin and scallops linguini, fried chicken 🍗 waffle 🧇 (no luck for their signature duck confit waffle 😔, and the tiramisu pancake. The linguini was very tasty but they were a bit means on the urchin and scallops (each 2 pcs). It would be much nicer to give 1 to 2 pcs each more for this $178 dish. The fried chicken waffle was a bit too greasy but the waffle was good. I like the tiramisu pancake must. It was puffy enough like a cloud, with cream cheese 🧀 inside.
It costed 5xx for a Sunday lunch for 2 ppl with 3 dishes and 2 drinks. I think this is an ok range for such a cozy Cafe.
P.s. the steak 🥩 was very nice from my peeking from the other table 👍. Wi try it...

The highlight was definitely the pancakes, the coffee syrup does lack the coffee flavor and matches the Tiramisu pancake. It was surprisingly good, and we will definitely return to try other flavors.
As for the main course, we went for something light. The chips were fresh but steak was a bit overcooked, however the quality of the beef saved the dish. The salad had a bit too much dressing but not bad overall.
There were a lot of kids in the resturant which might cause a bit more noise then usual. The environment overall...
