Food: 3/5 I got the Sakura Coconut Coffee that costed 78HKD and Carbonara Pasta that costed 168HKD. This is overall a pretty expensive price, hence I was optimistic, yet skeptical.
The Carbonara contains a premium Japanese egg called "Dream King", or the Chinese name "夢王". It had handmade pasta as its main selling point, with slow cooked chicken breasts and pork cheeks as its garnish.
The pasta was pretty mediocre, and far inferior to even the pasta made in cheaper restaurants like Pizza Hut. Although the sauce was delicious, it had the creamy and cheesy taste. Most of the bites had a rich coating of carbonara for the al dente pasta, but for some of the bites, the pasta was definitely undercooked, it felt chewy and didn't taste good. Both of the meat(Pork cheeks and chicken breasts) were well done and added more flavor to the pasta.
The Sakura Coconut Coffee was overall an enjoyable drink. It had a rich flavour of coconut mixed with the robust flavor of a coffee with milk. The drink had a sweet flavor from the coconut, while retaining the flavor of a milky coffee, there were also some mild hint of sakura flavor that's hard to describe without experiencing one. It has a fresh taste, yet also can deliver a bit of saltiness. There's also a considerable amount of ice cubes, but even after stating here for around half an hour, it doesn't affect the flavor a whole lot, so they did a great job at finding the right amount to keep the drink cool while retaining its flavor.
I wouldn't recommend this place for lunch, as it's pretty pricey for the quality of the food, it feels like most of them are still learning how to cook, but I think for a drink, considering the view you can get, it's worth grabbing a drink here if you haven't tried Ukiyo before.
Service: 4/5 The staff were friendly and firm on what they are doing. The front desk staff provided useful information, and was pretty attentive considering it's my first time, and they were asking the questions swiftly and replying to any questions I may have. The other staff inside were also quick and seemed trained very well, they were smooth in the payment process and relayed what I, as the customer needed to order and pay efficiently.
Atmosphere: 4/5 You get a view of the city from the inside if you are seating at the window spots, and if you prefer a spot where you won't be constantly shined by the sunlight, the interior areas also had good conditioning and other seatings. It's also located right beside the backdrop of Victoria Harbor, so after you finish your drink, you can walk right out to take some photos of one of Hong Kong's most...

Each strand is generously coated in a rich lobster bisque, which carries a deep shellfish aroma with subtle sweetness. The tiger prawns are simply seasoned with salt and black pepper, allowing their natural sweetness and umami to come through. Plump, translucent salmon roe provides bright pops of briny flavor and a crisp bite, adding contrast to the creamy base. The overall composition highlights freshness, precision, and balance.
Housemade Mentaiko Crab Cakes – $98 The crab cakes arrive golden and crisp, with a delicate, thin crust that gives way to a moist, tender filling. The crab meat is prominent and flavorful, with a texture reminiscent of firm crab mousse—bouncy and satisfying. The mentaiko is served as a sauce accompaniment, delivering a gentle briny salinity that enhances the richness of the crab without overpowering it. The pairing is well-thought-out, allowing the natural sweetness of the seafood to shine.
Matcha Horlicks Milkshake – $88 This milkshake blends the grassy bitterness of matcha with the smooth, malty notes of Horlicks, creating a well-rounded beverage with depth and warmth. The matcha flavor is pronounced yet softened by the malt, while an added layer of umami—reminiscent of nori—adds intrigue. A scoop of vanilla ice cream on top elevates the drink with creaminess and a touch of sweetness. Served chilled but without ice, the milkshake retains its full-bodied flavor from start to finish, making it ideal for long, relaxed...

Ukiyo had quite the space for a cafe atop K11 Musea. They have a nice view of Salisbury Road and provide natural light through most of the day. A good visual to start your brunch mood when entering the restaurant. There is also seating for only-coffee goers nearby.
The smell of waffles fill the room as that is one of their signatures. We didn’t get to try their mochi waffle sweet dish on this trip but opted for their Chashu* Nori Waffle Sandwich. The sous-vide chashu* is tender and have good seasoning but we found the waffle to be a bland pairing to it. It wasn’t as crispy as we hope. Some room for improvement perhaps.
The Aglio Olio pasta was good though. That’s something we’re looking forward to having again along with their Sweet Potato Fries. The fries unexpectedly came with a red sauce with a bit of a nice kick to it. We munched on that quite well through our meal :)
With regards to their coffee, their Iced Black had a good fruity roast. We usually favor nutty notes but this fruity blend was quite good. I believe they sourced this batch from Manhattan Coffee Roasters, a Netherlands based team.
Overall, it was a pleasant visit and would go here again compared to other cafes in K11 Musea for their seats, scenery,...
