During our visit to China recently, this is one of the two coffee chains that we had frequented. Due to the sunny and warm weather, we came by it for cold beverages to help to cool us down. And generally, their drinks were good, flavourful, thick with nice aroma. Prices were reasonable too. Service by staff were generally efficient (in taking orders and prepping the drinks). The ambience was cosy and trendy, very comfortable and with the soothing lightings, we felt we were at home! We enjoyed the drinks!

ONLY THREE STARS BECAUSE THE COFFEE ISN'T GOOD Costa Coffee is a chain with lots of outlets sprinkled across Shanghai. Its clean, has menu in Mandarin and English and serves up typical western items like sandwiches and croissants. I can't recommend the coffee (? my Melbourne Australia bias??) but the food is OK.
